While many small mammals stay hidden during light rain, hedgehogs are often happy to keep exploring. The damp ground encourages earthworms to come closer to the surface, making one of their favorite meals much easier to find.

Sometimes the cutest “backpacks” are made by nature. 🍂

As hedgehogs wander through gardens and woodlands at night, leaves, flower petals, tiny feathers, and bits of moss often become caught between their spines. By the time they head back to their nest, they can look as though they’ve collected little souvenirs from their adventure.

Nature has a charming way of dressing these tiny explorers without them even realizing it. 🦔
