I love imagery, but it is at its most powerful when successfully coupled with intimacy in some way. I feel fortunate that we occasionally manage to merge the two for a few precious seconds here and there. In this instance it was with the lovely family.

Some classic Glaswegian gusts of wind and horizontal rain didn’t stop the COP26 those participating in climate rally. So many creeds and colors and music and signs and shouts and smiles. I’m pleased we were here to see it.

It's an exciting feeling heading to a film festival in person again. Not only that but to a new place for me, on the shores of Lake Superior in my favorite season, when the cool wind begins to pluck a little more tenaciously at the yellowing leaves. One of the most special gifts filmmaking gives me is a reason to earnestly look back on moments, and process them a second, third, fourth time. I am present in some way every time I do this, and I feel a little different each time.

We drove halfway to Utah on dirt roads not so long ago, in search of visual treasures. We found some@with the help of our ‘covered wagon’ and picture machine. I will always be grateful for the time we spend outside.

Quiet on set....in our corner of this game, one take is all you get, unless you start “strong-arming reality”. Still, this encouragement is more positive than the one on a t-shirt I used to wear, “fix it in post”....:-/
