Wags and Walks Los Angeles, CA Many people are looking (or know someone looking) for a new dog. This can be a very time consuming and frustrating process.

Wags and Walks is a non-profit organization whose primary mission to match people with dogs that need a home and to save dogs lives on death row. After filling out an application, we will meet with you to understand your needs and exactly what you are looking for. We then contact and work with our network of rescue organizations, shelters and individuals, until we locate the PERFECT dog for you. Y

ou would be shocked to KNOW THAT YOU CAN FIND ANY BREED and ANY AGE DOG at the shelter. People with good intentions buy Saint Bernards, Boxers, German Shepherds, Bulldogs, Cocker Spaniels, Chows, Poodles, Pit Bulls, and Golden Retrievers, etc., but find that they can't take care of them due to life changes such as finances, moving, medical problems, or arrival of a new baby. With our experience and expertise, we are confident that we will be able to match you with your dream dog. We can also provide many helpful resources once you bring your new love home!

Adopt Fergus! He’s a 12 lb Terrier mix who’s spirited, scruffy, and endlessly endearing. Fergus has a joyful little bounce in his step and has a charming personality. This loving guy is happiest with his people: whether its for a cuddle session or a leisurely stroll, this sweet pup loves companionship. His favorite pastimes include zipping around the yard, roming around with another mellow pup, and flopping into your lap for a break. Fergu has been making great strides on leash walks and is learning to settle into a consistent routine at our Adoption Center. He will thrive in a home that can offer him structure and love and would do well with an easy going pup companion. Adopt Jeff! This 2-year-old, 20-lb Pug mix is ready for his forever home! Jeff is silly, playful, and incredibly affectionate. There's nothing he loves more than cuddling up to his favorite person for pets and belly rubs. Jeff makes friends easily and is always happy to say hello to new people and dogs! Alex had a more difficult start in life than most. She and her two siblings were found abandoned in an empty bag of dog food. They were attempting to nurse from their deceased mother's body. However, even after such a harrowing trauma, Alex has proven her resilience tenfold. She is the happiest girl in the world!⁠

Alex is mastering potty training thanks to the help of her foster and is very comfortable in her crate. Alex will thrive with patient adopters excited to take on the joys and challenges of puppyhood. Meet Dottie! This 21-lb, 6-month-old Basset Hound is the perfect mix of playfulness, sweetness, and ears!! Dottie is so much more than meets the eye. This sweet girl survived Parvovirus. She and her brother were surrendered to a local LA shelter on the verge of death. Sadly, her brother quickly succumbed to this awful illness shortly after their arrival. The shelter contacted our team immediately and we raced to Dottie's side. We have spent weeks nursing her back to health, and we're thrilled to share that she's on track to make a full recovery. Now, Dottie is ready to start the search for her perfect forever family! ⁠

This charming puppy loves short bursts of play, happily entertains herself with chew toys, and enjoys sunny outdoor naps. She’s making great progress on her potty training and has already mastered “sit” like a pro. Dottie is curious about the world and friendly with everyone she meets, including kids! She’s working hard on her manners and learning all the basics of good home behavior. She’s happiest when she’s following her people around the house or melting into their laps for snuggles. Meet Jonas! This 2-year-old, 55-lb ball of fluff is pure love and ready for his forever home! Jonas was found by a kind stranger wandering around as a stray. He was covered in some kind of purple dye and the tips of his ears were raw and wounded (see last pic). Since being rescued, Jonas has proved that he isn't your average Husky. This big boy is calm, gentle, and incredibly affectionate. Jonas is taking to training like a pro! He is very food motivated and eager to please. He gets along well with other dogs and is always happy to make new friends. Are you the family that Jonas has been waiting for?⁠
