Sometimes after you get help... from others π
It is good to bring that help... to others in need.
2 Corinthians 3-7 Using we have to help others.
This is our friend Dan Sievert Golden Missions of America. He is known for traveling across the country alongside his Golden Retriever, Cooper, bringing comfort and connection to survivors of traumatic events. Over the past several years, we have supported him while he was recovering from multiple surgeries.
Recently, Dan shared this message with our team:
βI would like to show my appreciation for Helping Hands of Silicon Valley. All the volunteers have been there for me since August 2021 when I had a medical emergency in the area. Meals and necessities were freely given. For 5 years all the kind people connected with Helping Hands have supported me through more surgery recovery; bringing me groceries and meals. I truly hope more people can volunteer their time to help the wonderful organization. Keep helping others!β
What makes Danβs story especially powerful is that even while facing his own challenges, he continues dedicating his time to helping others through difficult moments.
It is a reminder that making a difference is often simply about showing up for people, and that kindness can create a ripple effect, with compassion shared with others eventually coming back around when itβs needed most.
We are grateful for Dan's kind words and thankful to all of our volunteers and supporters who continue showing up for our community every day.
