The babies are six weeks old now and starting to explore the outside! It’s so fun to see their playful joy as they bounce around in the grass. 😍🐕❤️.

At the end of the day, try to remember that dog shows are a hobby, and your hobbies are supposed to be fun! Win or lose, the officers of the Northeast Yakutian Laika Club are friends first, and competitors second. We invite all of you to join our dog show family! We are so happy to spread our love of the breed and welcome conversation if you see us at the next dog show.

Meet the sire of our new litter!

I am absolutely enchanted with this photo of Cosmo from last weekend’s shows - even if he is out of coat! 😆 We took this to document his first points - but he then finished the weekend with a Best in Miscellaneous as well. Such a good boy!

Out of Yakut (owned by Carrie Riley of Northstar Ranch) x Nightside’s Clean Slate, and bred by Alyssa Almazon of Nightside Nordics.

Cosmo has a wonderful, balanced structure and effortless movement and a melt in your mouth temperament - especially with children. I love his length of leg and the power in his frame. He is a very bold and confident young man and I look forward to his progress this summer.

Weekend Recap!

After two years off, Cosmo “Equinox’s Star City Voyager” returned to the show ring at the Brooklyn, CT shows for a rainy weekend.

Our goal was to break the rust off, have some fun, see if he enjoyed showing, etc. He finished the weekend, (out of coat even!) with two points towards his CM, taking Best of Breed in one show and Best in Miscellaneous in another.

We have some work to do but it was a great re-entry for this boy!

Super proud of our friends for their accomplishments as well with Hatu taking Best in Open Show multiple times and our baby puppies earning their first points! It was a great weekend of dogs and friends as always!

After a rainy morning of showing here in Brooklyn, CT for the St. Hubert KC Shows, it was breakfast and an impromptu board meeting for the Northeast Yakutian Laika Club!
