Ollie's Evaluation

Ollie presents a serious behavioral case involving resource guarding and owner-directed aggression. His owner reports that he will jump into bed and then growl, snap, or bite if she attempts to move or reposition him. He has also developed a pattern of using aggressive behavior to control access to resources and situations, often resorting to growling or biting when he does not get his way.

Cases like this should never be taken lightly. A dog that is comfortable using aggression toward its owner is displaying a significant behavioral red flag that can escalate if left unaddressed. Beyond the physical safety concerns, these behaviors can create a stressful living environment where owners feel uncomfortable or even intimidated in their own home.

While this is a serious case, it is not necessarily a hopeless one. Through clear communication, consistent boundaries, structured leadership, and a tailored training plan, many dogs can learn healthier ways to navigate conflict and coexist safely with their families.

We look forward to meeting Ollie, evaluating the root causes of these behaviors, and helping his family develop a plan to restore safety, trust, and peace in the home.

Meet Hennessy 🐾
This sweet Rottweiler girl has a huge heart and an even bigger love for people. One of her favorite things to do is lean into you for comfort and affection ❤️
During today’s evaluation, we learned that Hennessy has spent much of her life in isolation, which has left her unsure and anxious in the outside world — especially around vehicles and busy environments. Despite her fears, she showed us a gentle temperament, willingness to connect, and a lot of potential.
Our goal is to help Hennessy build confidence, create positive associations with the world around her, and teach her that she can safely navigate new environments with calmness and trust. We’re excited to help her and her family through this journey. 🐕🖤

Roscoe kept us entertained during today’s evaluation 😅🐾
This Shar-Pei/Pitbull mix definitely has a big personality — and his bed found that out the hard way. Today we completed Roscoe’s evaluation and got a better understanding of the behaviors we’ll be working through moving forward. He’s an energetic, strong-willed dog with a lot of potential, and we’re looking forward to helping Roscoe and his family build better structure, obedience, and communication together. 💙

Welcome Coco to the META K9 family! 🐾
This sweet little poodle mix is full of personality, energy, and curiosity. Coco may be adorable, but she’s also a smart girl who’s ready to learn structure, confidence, and better manners both at home and out in the world. We’re excited to help her build obedience, focus, and impulse control while bringing out the best version of herself. With consistency, patience, and training, Coco is going to thrive. Looking forward to watching this fun pup grow every step of the way! 💙

Bruno the Frenchie is one fun little powerhouse. This guy loves people and brings big personality everywhere he goes, but he is also acutely reactive to other dogs and can go from calm to over-the-top in seconds. We’re working on building engagement, impulse control, obedience, and teaching Bruno how to stay neutral around distractions instead of letting his emotions take over. Smart, driven, stubborn, and full of character — this boy is going to be a blast to work with.

Tiny the pittie and Nova the Malinois are an absolute blast to work with. These two bring tons of energy, personality, and drive every session. Together they can definitely be a handful, but with patience, structure, and repetition we’re going to get them dialed in and working as a team. Excited to watch these pups transform and become the best versions of themselves. 🐾🔥

Meet Ziggy the Goldendoodle 🐾
This goofy boy is full of personality, energy, and fun — but he also likes to run the house if given the chance 😅 From nipping and pushing boundaries at home to needing better focus outside, Ziggy is learning that structure and obedience can still be exciting.
We’re building his impulse control, sharpening his obedience, and teaching him how to stay calm, respectful, and engaged both inside and outside the home. The goal isn’t to take away his playful personality — it’s to help him channel it the right way 💪🐶

Cleo the Doberman 🔥🐾

This girl is the full package—confident, social, and great with both people and other dogs. She brings that classic Doberman energy everywhere she goes, but with the right structure, she absolutely thrives.

Cleo’s biggest strength? Her drive. She’s always ready to work, learn, and engage—which means she needs a job to stay fulfilled. When her brain is busy, everything else falls into place.

We’re channeling that energy into clear structure, obedience, and daily “homework” so she stays sharp, focused, and balanced.

A tired Doberman isn’t just a physically tired dog—it’s a mentally fulfilled one. 💪
