No-Bake German Chocolate Cheesecake Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
- 1/2 cup shredded coconut
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- Chocolate shavings and pecan halves for garnish
Directions:
1. Begin by preparing the crust. In a bowl, combine the chocolate cookie crumbs with the melted butter until the crumbs are evenly coated. Firmly press this mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form a crust. Set aside.
2. Next, make the cheesecake filling. In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat together the softened cream cheese and sugar until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
3. Add the vanilla extract and sour cream to the cream cheese mixture, continuing to beat until everything is well combined. Gradually pour in the melted chocolate chips, stirring until the mixture is fully blended.
4. Carefully fold in the whipped topping, shredded coconut, and chopped pecans until they are evenly mixed throughout the cheesecake filling.
5. Pour the cheesecake mixture into the prepared crust, smoothing the top with a spatula. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the top. Cover the cheesecake and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until it is fully set.
6. Just before serving, garnish the cheesecake with chocolate shavings and pecan halves for a beautiful presentation. Enjoy!
