Today was a great session working with Lasso and his parents. Lasso is a 10-month-old doodle who struggles with leash reactivity, severe anxiety, pulling on the leash, and insecurity. During our session, I was able to teach his owners how to create structure, set clear boundaries, and establish consistent rules, while also educating them on dog psychology. They now have a better understanding of how to meet Lasso’s mental and physical needs, and what steps to take moving forward to help him become a more confident and balanced dog.

A few weeks ago this would have been absolutely impossible. Let alone walk one dog on leash without pulling. My client has been putting in the work to achieve his goal of walking his two boys(littermates) together in harmony. This is what it looks like when you listen to your trainers guidance.

Meet my newest Board and Train, Achilles! 🐾
His dad adopted him just a few weeks ago. Achilles has a few behavioral challenges, and his dad wants to set him up for success right from the start — which is such a smart and caring thing to do for any new dog. It’s always best to build good habits early instead of waiting for unwanted behaviors to appear. I like to start with long line work to see how much of a connection he has to human guidance. I like to work long line because I want him to really seek me and my guidance in leading him. Pack drive is important to teach a dog. This is the first thing I started him on when he got here. Poor guy was on the euthanasia list at a shelter.

I’m so excited to work with this handsome guy over the next two weeks!

I met Luffy and Toshi today — two littermates whose dad asked me to help with their training. He realized that what he’d been doing wasn’t working as well as he hoped, and if you know anything about training littermates, you know how challenging it can be—especially with mixed signals or confusing methods. I’m so proud of how well they did during our session today, and I’m really glad their dad reached out for support!

Cooper’s 7-Day Board and Train 🐾
Cooper’s mom was having a tough time with her 6-month-old Goldendoodle and was desperate for help. We decided a board and train would be the best option — and wow, what a transformation!

Not only did Cooper make huge progress, but Judy, his owner, grew so much too. Both dog and human have to make changes to keep their relationship balanced and fair, and these two nailed it.

I’m so proud of them — they’re doing amazing! 💛 Check out the incredible review Judy left me. She’s the best!
