Having a goal gives us a chance to prioritize.

Dogs do best what they do most- so replicating what goals are and working through the mistakes in real time gives us the best chance at success.

Goals don’t have to be titles. It can be taking them to eat at a dog friendly restaurant. It can be letting your kid walk them. It can be leaving them uncrated. It can be enjoying traveling with them.

Every dog should have a goal, and every interaction should be mindful of whether you are reinforcing or discouraging behavior related to your goal.

Now let’s go to work 💥

🙌🐾BACK TO SCHOOL TIME 🐾🙌

It’s back to school time for dogs and kids and we’re READY!

Group birdwork days will return in September when weather allows for better scenting conditions and longer (and more reasonable) hours in the field.

We will also offer a Field Fundraiser PRACTICE day prior to the 9/26 competition! Watch for dates and more info SOON.

Consistent expectations. Necessary reps. Constant change and adaptation.

Success doesn’t come from the clock- it comes from consistency and development.

Every interaction is training. Reinforcing what to do or not do. And THAT is what builds your dogs ability to choose obedience.

Make the important things fun, safe and rewarding. Set hard safety boundaries. Be INTENTIONAL over regimented.

And everyone will be happier for it. 🖤🐾

GENETICS AT WORK 😍🥹🐾💪🏻

Dad Jack, Mom Audrey, daughter Birdie and Son Mac having fun on the hill this morning running bumpers in the light rain. What a privilege it is to have chosen and developed this pairing with hopes of replicating the best of both dogs to create the ultimate family gun dogs- and these dogs make that dream a reality day in and day out. Friends that are chosen family- a consistent collaboration on developing these dogs to their very best- and nowhere near done yet! 🙌💥 Watching them enjoy their job as much as we enjoy them is EVERYTHING 🩷

2026-2027 Dove and Duck Season are going to be 🔥 🥹🐾

Even at a young age, they have to learn to do nothing- it’s ok to not stimulate them all the time, or find calm ways to interact 🩷

You’ll be so glad they have this skill as they age!

Today was a day everyone appreciated the reset. From young to old, adapting to changes is a lifelong skill that will set your dog up for the better. 💕
