Happy Mothers Day to the mamas of all kinds 🩷

Forever thankful to each of you who trust us with your dogs and allow them to live life with us as I walk between training and motherhood- and always allow grace for my family and kids when needed.

Moms are the real superhero’s of life- thankful for each one who has touched our lives and shaped my journey! Hope you all have the best day!

🐾GIVING BACK 🐾

While we absolutely believe in ethically maintained purpose bred dogs, we also do our part to contribute to the rescue community by supporting organizations working tirelessly to keep dogs in homes.

These are the present Belles Buds Rescue dogs looking for foster or foster to adopt homes that are here with us at FTBF. We can tell you all about living with these dogs, their training style and strengths and homes they are best suited for!

🐾🐾HOW YOU CAN HELP US 🐾🐾

We are so very fortunate to have so many of you supporting Deuce’s Dream Hunting Dog Sanctuary alongside us, and we are BEYOND grateful.

However lately I’ve had several people ask if there are ways to help FTBF and the dogs here in our care! So again, easiest to mass address the best ways to help-

🐾 Crate mats dog beds and crates! If you have extra, we can always use them! You would not believe the amount of crates, trays, beds etc we replace per year helping dogs with separation anxiety or puppies that chew 🙃

🐾 Canned food! We always have it on hand to entice stressed dogs to eat. Acclimating to life away from home is hard- so we try to have things on hand to make it easier

🐾 support DDHDS! We’re actively hoping to partner with Deuces Dream to split cost on a Pavillion building that would give us a covered area for seminars and lessons, a restroom for clients so we don’t have to disrupt dogs and kids for potty breaks and a working office for me, along with office space for Deuces and a place to host events and fundraisers! It will actively benefit both businesses!

FOUR YEARS IN THE MAKING 🥹🥹🥹

Sometimes the wins are OURS and have nothing to do with ribbons 💕And man this morning was a big one.

We’ve posted at length that we live with our own dogs some of the challenges yall face even with training and socialization abundant.

We’ve talked a lot about Oscars struggles with our babies- his stiffness and discomfort, our consistent management, the awareness that sometimes even without a “bad experience” dogs have preferences that don’t align.

We have at every turn respected Oscars unsettledness with the kids and worked gentle to encourage successful, positive interactions.

This morning, unprovoked, Oscar not only chose to sit with Landon, he chose affection, touch and interaction. There’s still some discomfort (hence the shake at the end) and some appeasing behavior going on because it’s hard for him and stressful- but the positives literally brought me happy tears.

All this to say- discomfort doesn’t mean “bad” or “mean” or “aggressive”- it doesn’t mean they can’t live in your home- it means WORK on your end- and time and association CAN (sometimes) successfully change interactions. It’ll never happen as fast or as linear as you’d like. But man- when it happens- the feeling reminds you why it’s all so worth it.

🐾WHY ARE YOU SO CHEAP?🐾

“What’s the catch?”
“What am I missing?”
“Is it too good to be true?”
“You get what you pay for”

This has been a reoccurring question/theme lately- especially given the state of the economy. So I’m going to address it ONCE publicly, and give everyone the same answer I give in person.

While I very much stand behind the quality of what we do, the inherent integrity of what we put into our dogs and the undoubted value of our time- and always will-

I also believe I am in a position to HELP. To help dogs, to help people. I believe I have been called to change lives through dogs in a meaningful and positive way that isn’t overwhelming, degrading, negative or out of reach. I believe I am a good teacher, an intuitive and intelligent reader of body language and personality and good at what I do.

I want to be accessible. I don’t want people struggling with their dogs and behaviors to be afraid to reach out due to cost. I don’t want to work in numbers so big I lose the integrity of what I’m doing in creating good family dogs and successful field dogs. I want to be a place people trust, appreciate and can give peace to when away from their dogs. I want dogs to not be rehomed for things that are fixable. I want people to understand their dogs as individual beings with strengths and weaknesses and not as robots coerced into submission. I want to help achieve goals, build successes and help create the best version of your dog.

We are priced to be ATTAINABLE so you can enjoy your dog, your relationship and to feel supported as they develop over time- not just as a one and done experience with no relationship after or value specifically based on successes and titles. Because training is never linear. It’s continuous.

I’m meant for this. I believe in what I do EVERY SINGLE DAY.

And that is worth more than any amount of money I could ever put on this business.

It’s about you, your dog, and what we can accomplish together. That’s what it’s always been and what it’ll always be.
