Job description

Looking for a pet sitter-dog walker to add to our growing team. Make up to $500 to $700 a month working with and training dogs, and loving cats, birds and the occasional rabbit.
For every PT member of our team, we provide:

Competitive compensation: $250 to $700 per month (includes tips and mileage reimbursement). Starting training pay = $15/hr, up to $17/hr. after training is completed.
All tips go to pet sitters.
Paid sick leave after 30 hours worked
In the field support
Liability insurance, bonding, and workman's compensation for your protection.
Online and in-person training

Current team members include the owner who has 8+ years experience running the business, 20 years experience with cats, and is trained in loose-leash walking; and, a pet sitter who is a Vet tech, plus has 5 years experience in animal rescue.

Torrey Highlands, 92130
Other locations within an 8 mile radius of Rancho Penasquitos

Hours of Operation:
7 a.m. to 7 p.m., every day, holidays included. Most schedules are 2 to 3 hours per day, 3 to 5 days per week.

FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE!

The busiest times for pet sitting are summers and the holidays. Holiday work will be required. You are not required to work a certain amount, or particular days, either during holidays or the rest of the year, but the work is seasonal and the demand is high during holidays.

The employee will be walking dogs or visiting pets in homes. Must be comfortable working alone and demonstrate good judgment. The employee must be able to drive to multiple homes, lift and carry 30 pounds, go up and down stairs, bend over to pick items up from the ground, and love animals.

Required:

Be 18 or older
A valid driver's license,
Access to a car to use on the job, with insurance,
Be able to pass a background check
Use a cell phone with Google or Apple maps

Extremely reliable workers with excellent communication skills in basic English required.

Work experience:
Relevant work experience would include prior pet sitting experience (your own pets count as experience!), customer relations, vet tech, customer service jobs, or any job where interacting with the public or caring for animals was part of the duties. Must enjoy working with animals, being outdoors and being active.

Responsibilities:

To deliver skillful, safe, compassionate care to all pets entrusted to your supervision;
To keep all client information confidential;
To safeguard the client's residence by taking all reasonable precautions.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
All pet sitters are required to wear N95 masks (provided to you at no charge) while in clients' homes.
