Just left a sit next to Morley Field…saw a huge coyote carrying a dead black cat in it’s mouth. There was nothing I could do to help that baby. Please please keep your kitties indoors. 🥲

This beautiful, squishy baby boy lived a full life. Brought into Escondido Humane Society at five months of age by a good samaritan, we eventually learned he had broken out of his backyard breeder prison. That would eventually save his life. He had eaten a rock and had surgery at EHS. His A-hole owners came into the shelter, saw the surgical scar on his belly and said they couldn’t make any money off of him now and signed him over to EHS. Good! You did not deserve him! Kat and I started fostering him during his recovery. He had a spell and ended up in the ER, where it was discovered he had a severe liver shunt birth defect.

We had two choices: either give him hospice care or adopt him and pay out-of-pocket for his surgery. It was a no-brainer. We did a GofundMe and put the rest on CareCredit. The surgery was very serious and lasted hours with multiple blood transfusions but he came through it. They told us not to expect a full lifespan tho.

Walt had other ideas. He was a trooper and a survivor. He ended up having two more surgeries for bladder stones but the liver shunt surgery held his entire life.

Kat and I shared custody of our Bull child. He was showered with love, became the spokesdog for PawPrints Pet Sitting and had quite the following.

He had really been slowing down lately but this past week he struggled. Hearing and sight impaired, mobility gone then he stopped eating. We knew it was time. His body was tired.

Adam said it was Kat’s turn now to watch over him. I am glad he’s been reunited with the Other Mother but god do I miss him so. 💔😢❤️

Great advice! Exactly why when I’m walking client’s dogs, I’m paying attention to them and not on my phone.

In today’s overscheduled world, this multitasking may feel extra productive. But animal behaviorists say it’s dangerous — and can frustrate dogs if their needs aren’t being met.

Does anyone have a dog taking the heart med Pimobendan? If yes, did you find anyplace that sells it at a reasonable price? Mexico? Canada?

My 500 pound baby steer Auggie Norman was prescribed it and with his dose it will be $1000/month in the US which is insane!

Yet another poisonous w**d on our property, Coyote To***co. This is the first time I’ve ever seen this w**d.
Whenever I see something harmful to our pets, I try and post about it so y’all can be on the lookout!

I do a Cow 101 program for my sanctuary, maybe I should do a Toxic w**d program for dog walkers! Sure do have enough on our property ugh!

Spring has sprung, flowers are blooming! Which means 🐝 are buzzing!

Dogs, like humans, can be allergic to bees. Some can have severe reactions including anaphylactic shock. Good idea to try and avoid letting them sniff flowers while on walks. Just in case of a sting, know where Benadryl or an Epipen is kept.

My sanctuary made the local news yesterday!
I not only have experience and love for dogs and cats but also farm animals and birds! After all, cows are just big moo puppies! 💕
