Thank you Steve for the kind words!!! It means so much to us

We cannot thank the team at Sit Means Sit enough for the transformation they helped us achieve with our dog. She had been showing aggressive behavior that made it nearly impossible to take her out in public. We were honestly at a loss and didn’t know where to turn.
From the very beginning, the trainers were incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and supportive. They took the time to understand our dog’s specific triggers and worked with us step by step—not just training her, but teaching us how to be better, more confident handlers.
Thanks to their guidance, consistency, and encouragement, we can now take our dog out in public without fear. She's calmer, more focused, and happier—and so are we. It's hard to describe the relief and joy of being able to include her in our daily lives again.
If you're struggling with an aggressive dog, don’t give up. Sit Means Sit truly changed everything for us. Highly, highly recommended!

Foundational Training Spotlight: Ruby 🐾

Meet Ruby, a sweet and spirited pug who’s full of personality! She’s already mastered some basics like sit, wait, and is fully potty trained, but she’s working on dog manners, recall, and greeting people politely. Ruby tends to bark at the wind, the TV, and other dogs—though her mom admits some of it is “cute”—and she can get a little too excited on leash, sometimes even running away.

Ruby’s family’s goal is simple: to enjoy public outings confidently without worrying about jumping or overly excited greetings, and to help her feel calm and polite around other dogs. With consistent training and structure, Ruby is on her way to becoming the perfect public companion while still keeping her adorable personality. 🌟🐶

Foundational Training Spotlight: Banksey 🐾

Meet Banksey! This boy recently moved from a townhome to an apartment, which means he’s suddenly seeing a lot more people and dogs. With the change, his mom started noticing some big challenges—reactivity that seemed to appear almost overnight. He’s protective, selective about who he’s comfortable with, and has had moments of barking, growling, and strong leash pulling when out in public.

Banksey also had a tough experience at the dog park where another dog got on top of him barking, which hasn’t helped his confidence. Now, when people approach, he often reacts, and his explosive pulling makes walks stressful. His family worries that if he ever got loose, he might run off, and they want to make sure he’s safe and under control.

His parents are very active and would love for Banksey to join them everywhere—stores, restaurants, outings with friends, and around other dogs—without worry. That’s why his training is focused on building impulse control, confidence, neutrality in public, and calm leash manners.

We’re excited to see Banksey’s transformation into the social, well-mannered companion we know he can be. With consistency and structure, he’s on his way to becoming the perfect adventure buddy for his family! 🌟🐶

Foundational Training Spotlight: Trevor 🐾

Say hello to Trevor! This handsome pup is working hard on building impulse control and polishing up his manners. Trevor’s family noticed he has a tendency to countersurf, struggles with holding duration commands, and sometimes gets a little too excited on leash—he’ll start pulling before eventually settling into a nice heel.

He can also be a bit timid around other dogs, which means confidence-building is just as important as obedience for him. Add in some barking habits, and Trevor’s training journey is all about learning calmness, consistency, and trust.

The ultimate goal for Trevor is simple but meaningful: to become a reliable, well-mannered companion dog who can confidently enjoy life with his family. We’re so proud of the progress he’s making and can’t wait to see him shine! 🌟🐾

🌟 Training Spotlight: Nym 🌟

Meet Nym! 🐾 This smart pup already knows lots of tricks, but staying focused has been a challenge. Nym can get distracted by people, is nose-driven, a little mouthy, and sometimes wants to “police” the other pets at home—including charging at the cats. She’s also working on holding her commands longer, improving her recall, and walking politely on leash—especially important since her mom has a disability and can’t risk being pulled.

Nym’s ultimate goal is extra special: she’s training to be a service dog. ❤️

We’re so proud of Nym and her mom for the hard work they’re putting in. With patience, consistency, and structure, this girl is on her way to being an incredible service companion. 🐶✨
