This indoor, one-eyed, 13 y/o female cat needs a new home. Her owner had to go into an assisted living facility. Rory is declawed, so must stay indoors. She comes with a nice reward to help with expenses, owner just wants her to go to good home. Please share & ask any questions, let’s find this kitty a new forever home.

This is not directed at any individual I know personally, but maybe you know someone who it will apply & I hope if you feel the way I do, you will let them know.

I read daily about over whelmed animal shelters that are so over crowded due to PEOPLE who are returning animals they adopted just last year. These PEOPLE, were wanting a companion to keep them company while they were stuck at home or working from home during “covid” & now that these PEOPLE can go back to their lives, they no longer want to be bothered with the animals that have given them so much comfort & companionship over the last year. This is beyond shameful & self centered & another reason our society is going to crap. These animals did nothing wrong & now are being punished for satisfying your short term needs. Animals are not disposable, they are a commitment of 10-20 years & to some of us that is too short.
These PEOPLE are not deserving of the faithfulness of these animals & I hope one day they experience the same sadness they left in that animals eyes as their whole world turns & walks away.

Kitten season has arrived!

Keep an eye out for new mama cats and kittens. They can be opportunistic, having babies wherever they feel is a safe place. Please let us know if you see any pregnant cats or new litters so we can bring them in quickly and 1. Socialize, spay/neuter, and find real homes for kittens and friendly adults 2. Help lessen the homeless cat population in Converse.

Cats in this area can have 3 litters a year typically between February-November and can overwhelm an area very quickly. Feral Kittens become much harder to socialize after they reach 3 months of age. Call Converse Animal Care at 210-658-5369 if you see an animal in need.
