Another favorite spring time visitor has arrived!

Lazuli Buntings have been spotted in the Olympus Cove area and Emigration Canyon!

If you want to try attracting these beautiful turquoise birds, try offering millet in a tray or hopper feeder. They love it!

THEY'RE COMING! The latest map from hummingbirdcentral.com shows the hummingbird migration is starting to move into Utah through the southwest corner of the state. According to research, a hummingbird can travel as much as 23 miles in one day and the first to arrive are usually males.

Hummingbird nectar recipe: 1 part sugar to 4 parts water. An example of this would be 1 cup sugar and 4 cups water. Make sure the sugar is dissolved either by letting the mixture sit or by warming it up.

What is you advice for our back yard feeders in light of the current bird flu situation?
Hi, we have these cute birds in our backyard quite often… just wondering if anyone knows what they are? Look kinda like quail but without the plume. Thanks.
When should we start getting ready to put out our hummingbird feeders?
It's happening!!! Welcome spring! In ballpark neighborhood
😮
Probably not a great photo but ... - this guy appears to be a now-frequent visitor to our yard, I think he's feasting on the birds I'VE been feeding (and even is making the cat inside nervous) - not sure but I think it's a sharp-shinned hawk?
Years ago there was a family of Robins that nested in our yard, One of the offspring especially I have seen has white feathers on it's head and this bird returns year after year. It has been SO heartwarming to see the same birds return. I SAW that robin back here yesterday!!!! Springtime is on the way
Is this true?
Lots of birds despite the snow and cold weather. 😁🥶
Turkey's in the backyard scratching the snow for bird seed dropping from the deck.
😂😊
Whoa! The snow fell and all my lesser goldfinches disappeared. What happened?
