Food Partner Spotlight

From the inventive cocktails and lively atmosphere of Franklin Ave to the polished, modern tavern experience at White Horse, The Bourbon Group has spent years creating some of downtown Salt Lake City’s favorite places to gather.

🍽️ We’ll celebrate them in September. You can celebrate them tonight.

Pick your spot, make a reservation, and tell them Eat Drink SLC sent you. 💛

And there’s even more to raise a glass to: nearly a year after the fire that impacted Main Street, plans are moving forward to bring Whiskey Street back. We can’t wait to see this beloved downtown institution pouring again.

In the meantime, there’s plenty to explore across The Bourbon Group. At Franklin Ave, look for fellow Eat Drink SLC libation partners by the glass, including Elk Cove Pinot Gris from Elk Cove Vineyards, Backbone Sauvignon Blanc from Baobab Wines, Canoe Ridge Cabernet from Precept, and Willamette Valley Vineyards Whole Cluster Pinot Noir. 🍷

Over at White Horse, you’ll find Primarius Pinot Noir from Precept, Piattelli Malbec-Tannat, Trapiche Oak Cask Cabernet from WX Brands, Dow’s Tawny Port from Premium Port Wines, and Zardetto Prosecco from Winebow. Or switch things up with The Phoenix, featuring Five Wives Tamarind Chile Vodka from Ogden’s Own Distillery. 🍸

Three distinct pieces of Salt Lake’s downtown hospitality story—one group worth celebrating and supporting.

At Table X, every menu begins in the garden.
Built around hyper-seasonal ingredients—including produce grown just steps from the kitchen—Table X celebrates the land, the people who cultivate it, and the beauty of cooking with what’s at its peak. It’s thoughtful, sustainable dining that’s as comforting as it is creative.

That same attention to detail carries into the glass. Their featured pours include the Tomato, Tomada cocktail made with Uncle Val’s Gin from 3 Badge Beverage, Cadre “Band of Stones” Grüner Veltliner from Appellation Wine Co., Lorenza Rosé, Domaine Petroni Rouge from French Libations, and Primarius “Sans Soufre” Pinot Noir from Precept Wine & Spirits. 🍷🌿
If you’ve been waiting for a reason to experience Table X, let this be it. Make a reservation, explore what’s coming out of the garden right now, and raise a glass with a few of our fellow Eat Drink SLC libation partners while you’re there.

For the story behind Scelto, we’ll let this one speak for itself.

What started as an idea to bring an elevated Italian dining experience to the south end of the Salt Lake Valley became something much bigger—a restaurant built from a genuine love of food, community, and the people who make hospitality happen every single day.

Italian for “chosen,” Scelto pairs timeless Italian inspiration with modern technique, beautifully crafted dishes, and an atmosphere designed to make dinner feel like an occasion.

And while you’re there, raise a glass with a couple of our fellow Eat Drink SLC libation partners. Try their Tiramisu Martini, made with Five Wives Heavenly from Ogden’s Own Distillery, or a glass of Chester Pinot Noir from Russian River Vineyards. 🍸🍷

If Scelto has been on your list, make the trip south and experience the story for yourself.

Food Partner Spotlight 🍽️

The future of Utah’s culinary scene is already in the kitchen.

At Park City Culinary Institute, aspiring chefs, bakers, and food entrepreneurs are learning the skills to turn a passion for food into something bigger—and you might already know a few of their success stories.

The founders behind Kodiak Cakes, Crumbl Cookies, and Waffle Love all attended Park City Culinary Institute before going on to build brands recognized far beyond Utah. It’s an incredible reminder that some of the biggest ideas in food can start right here in our own culinary community.
But you don’t have to be pursuing a culinary career to get into the kitchen. 👨‍🍳 Park City Culinary Institute also opens its doors to the public for hands-on recreational cooking classes—perfect for sharpening your skills, switching up date night, or gathering a group of friends around the table.

This September, we’re proud to celebrate Park City Culinary Institute at Eat Drink SLC and the students, alumni, educators, and home cooks who keep Utah’s passion for food growing.
Can’t wait until September? Sign up for a class and get cooking now. ✨

Some of the best bottles introduce you to places you’ve never been.

For Baobab Wines, that place is South Africa. 🇿🇦
Founder Giles Thomas has built Baobab around a clear mission: helping South African winemakers earn greater recognition in the American market while giving the people and places behind each bottle a stronger voice.

Today, Baobab represents South African wines across 33 states, connecting American wine drinkers with producers whose bottles tell a story of place, tradition, and craftsmanship. And that connection goes both ways—Baobab recently brought 120 distribution partners back to South Africa to experience the country’s wine culture firsthand.

You don’t have to wait until Eat Drink SLC to discover them. Look for Baobab selections on wine lists around Salt Lake, order a glass, and discover a little more of South Africa with every pour. 🍷

We’ll raise a glass with them in September. You can raise one tonight.
