**UPDATE: NEW OWNER FOUND**Meet Rogue. She is well trained, and looking for a new home through no fault of hers. Please contact us if you think you can provide a permanent home for her. Below a note from her current owner:
"Rogue is just not living a fun life with us anymore. We’ve realized that she spends her days in her dog house locked on the deck and her nights locked in her kennel. We know this our fault, but we have three little kids that don’t feel like they can play with her at all and don’t like how she smells. She’s a super happy, goofy, and very energetic dog. The only problem with this is that as soon as the kids try to play with her she gets very excited and ends up scratching them or hurting them slightly in some way. It’s not at all intentional, but happens because she’s too excited. This has happened enough the kids don’t like to even try and play with her anymore.
Rogue has a very intense bark, but is more likely to lick someone to death than to even nip at them, let alone bite them. She has never bitten anyone or any other dogs. She is always very aware, sometimes overly so, about new people and neighbors. She will bark at others in their yards and new people if she sees them in the house, but sometimes barks at nothing/no one. She’s pretty good about quieting down when asked though.
We have trained her to go to the bathroom in one area in the yard, which she is good at as long as you’re watching her, otherwise.... When she plays fetch, she is very good about getting the ball and bringing it back, but not at all good about giving it back to you. We’ve always struggled with her on walks because she pulls so much. We’ve tried working with her on this, but haven’t been successful. Usually what we’ll do is run her on the bike and then she can pull all she wants.
Gets along really really well with other dogs. Eats a raw food only diet, but could be switched to regular dog food over a couple weeks. She doesn’t have separation anxiety like a lot of Weims seem to. She is kennel trained and very very good about that. She is spayed. Rogue has had no health problems other than needing sutures once for a cut on her hip. She’s just over 6 years old and weighs around 45-50 pounds. Loves to be with people in true Weim fashion. Does great on hikes and off leash in the back country, comes when called and is always running back to “check” on you.
The commands we use with her are: come, sit, stay, free (to release her from stay), lay down, spin, shake, baño for bathroom (we had our reasons), get it, bring it, and drop it for fetch, quiet, leave it (to have her leave something alone), back (to have her move back), and down (if she jumped up on someone, which she does from time to time, but is much better than she used to be).
We have kennel, dog house, heated dog mat, dog bed, heated bowl and a couple non heated bowls, collars, leashes, nail trimmers, cone, clicker, various toys, jacket, wash mitts, and treats that are available with her.
We are looking for a new home for Rogue because she is living too boring of a life for a Weim right now. We are also going to be gone most of the summer traveling and can’t take her with us and it’s too expensive to board her that long. She would be great for a family with older kids, just a little too intense for our young kids. She’s only 6 years old and has a lot of great years left that shouldn’t be wasted in a dog house.

This is Gabe. He is a Weimaraner/Catahoula mix. He is 6 years old and is looking for a new home. He is well behaved, trained, and smart. He is high energy but also content on a lap. He would do best in home without cats. His owner is having age related issues and it is best for him to find a different home. If you or someone you know may be interested in Gabe, please reach out to us for more information. Gabe is located in Utah, but we will travel to neighboring states for his rehoming if necessary.

*update* Rosko has a home. Pending placement with search and rescue. Meet Rosko... he is 2 years old and isn't one of ours. His owner went to jail so he was surrendered to Weber County (Utah) and is looking for a new forever home. He was adopted once and returned the next day for chasing horses and cats. He will have all shots, neuter, etc... very low adoption fee.
*Tyde has found a home* Meet Tyde, he's looking for a new home with no cats. He is 3 1/2 years old, really big and still has his tail. Tyde has been well cared for and is a very loving, energetic boy who loves to be outdoors so he can run around. Tyde is very protective of his owners and will bark often at strangers and unfamiliar noises, so he makes a great watch dog. He has basic training and listens well unless a cat is around. Tyde is neutered and current on all his shots.
Meet Silus! He's looking for a new home. We didn't breed him but are helping place him. He is 4 years old and the SWEETEST boy ever. He needs lots of running and discipline. He's housebroken and knows basic commands such as sit, stay, and high five! Hes a big boy (90+ pounds), but totally lovable! Does well with children and other dogs. He is afraid of cats but can take or leave them. Not high anxiety. He's an all around great dog, his owners just don't have the ability to meet his needs, through no fault of their own.
*Ty has a home* Meet Ty. He's 3 years old and looking for a new home due to divorce. This is a note from his current owner "He is very active and loves to play. He doesn't do well around small children and is very protective. He is house trained as well as leash trained and listens to commands very well" Ty doesn't have a lot of hunting experience but is not gun shy. Message here or text 801-577-1479 if interested.

Ruger is looking for a permanent home. He's 5 years old, super sensitive and really big. Ruger will do best in a home with someone who has a lot of time to spend with him and room to run. He does fine with other cats and dogs. Because he's so sensitive, he does bark a lot out of fear. He's a total goofball with LOTS of personality. He's AKC registered, neutered and current on his shots.
*Doing well in her new home* Callie is looking for a new home. She was placed on a trial run but that's not going to be able to be permanent. She's 2 years old, and energetic. She's got basic obedience but could definitely use more. Good with cats and children. Spayed and current on her shots. She's currently on a raw diet. We can help educate so she can stay on it, or she could easily transition back to a limited ingredient kibble.
Meet Akila, she's looking for a new home due to circumstances beyond her owner's control. She's 52 pounds, 1.5 years old, spayed and due for shots but her owner will have them done prior to placement. Akila is very well trained but stubborn so still needs a firm owner. She's VERY high energy. She does well with cats and other dogs but does excite easily.

*Pending Placement* Callie. She's 2 years old, and looking for a new home. Callie is small and the spitting image of her mom, Grace. She is full grown at about 45 pounds. She's excited but easy to redirect and is doing great with the cat. Callie knows basic obedience. She has a little separation anxiety and a sensitive tummy.
We have 2 adults coming available due to circumstances beyond their owner's control. Both are silver, both are fixed. Callie is a 2 yr old female.... her parents are Grace and Ruger. Ruger is a 5 yr old male. Ruger will require an owner experienced with Weimaraners.

These FOUR 9 week old Weimaraner puppies where confiscated from a back yard breeder along with about 200 other breeds of dogs and puppies, and now have been impounded at the Devore Shelter in San...
Simplistic and general but still good information.

Seems like at least something worth looking into. :) Socialization is definitely important for all breeds and all ages.
