I need one more NEWLY titled dog to feature in our Ch/Ace/TD spotlight in the APBT Gazette please email [email protected] with your dog's photo and registered name/number! We are currently working on the final issue of our 50th Anniversary!

If we aren't able to get you in this issue we will hold your photo on file for an upcoming issue.

It's the last day for cover contest entries for the APBT Gazette's last issue of our 50th anniversary! Who will grace this limited edition cover?!!

Cover contest is almost closed for the May 2026 issue of the APBT Gazette magazine! (ADBA registered APBT only for this contest.) BUT this one is really special because it will finish out our 50th Anniversary of the APBT Gazette magazine!

Contest ends today, March 31st at midnight, Mountain Standard Time. Winner will be revealed when the digital magazine is released on May 1st

Unlimited entries BUT each email MUST INCLUDE the following to be considered: ADBA registered name, registered number, high quality photo and photo credit of each dog or permission to use a photo if (it has a copyright). Photos with a watermark may not be considered for publication.

If you are sending multiple dogs, please send them in separate emails along with that individual dog's required information listed above.

The American Dog Breeders Association feels it is important to promote the positive image of the American Pit Bull Terrier (APBT) on social media. We ask all APBT fanciers and breeders to focus on showcasing the breed's true nature as affectionate, loyal, playful, and athletic companions. Many people share photos of dogs baring their teeth—often in playful "smiles," zoomies, or tug-of-war moments—but these images can unintentionally reinforce negative stereotypes of aggression, especially to those unfamiliar with the breed.

A well-bred and conditioned APBT is a beautiful thing and should be showcased this way. Share stories of responsible ownership—training, socialization, and good behavior. Avoid confrontational debates; lead with empathy, facts, and heartwarming examples to gradually shift perceptions.

The breed deserves better. Please review your own Facebook, Instagram and webpages and remove any photos that do not showcase the breed in a positive light. These images can be used against the breed and owners to promote breed bans, intent laws, anti-tethering bills etc.

To protect the future of this breed and in the interest of your own dog, we encourage that you do not follow or promote any Club, Kennel, Breeder, pedigree website or organization that is not promoting the positive image of the breed.

ADBA sanctioned clubs span the globe. Each club is focused, and actively working toward the same goals – to provide American Pit Bull Terrier Conformation Shows, all breed Weight Pulls, and Top Dog Athletic Events. Each club strives to ensure the continued preservation of the APBT breed today (and for generations to come) by educating the public to the truth about the American Pit Bull Terrier breed and its owners, promoting responsible ownership of all breeds, and protecting individual freedom of choice.
