individual freedom of choice. Education is the method our goal is achieved. We educate through the involvement of the club and its members within their community. Promotion of responsible ownership is achieved through verbal education as well as the daily actions of each individual, as well as hosting ADBA Sanctioned Conformation and Weight Pulling events. ADBA is committed to the advancement and success of our clubs. Attention all ADBA sanctioned judges, competitors, etc. I need to remind everyone of a few of our show dept policies.

Beginning in July 2011, nearly 14 years ago, if your dog achieves 100 pts or more in conformation or weight pull, it MUST move up to the Ch/Ace class at the next event, even if it is the same weekend. Failure to do so will result in the points being void.

Unfortunately, misinformation is being shared and the show department has had to void points and make point adjustments several times this year. The policy has been in place for YEARS so please help us make sure everyone receives their proper points. If you have achieved your title you need to be competing in the Champion/Ace class.

We also have a new policy adjustment that began this year. All dogs competing must have a registered name in the ADBA files and be in the current owner's name (read below for complete details).

*A limited number of rooms have been blocked at a discounted rate. Tower Standard Rooms: $115.00 Friday / $145 Saturday / $80 Sunday /$55 Monday. *WE'VE EXTENDED THE DEADLINE TO JULY 15TH*

The American Dog Breeders Association Inc. is committed to the FUTURE. It is our belief that the future of our noble breed is dependent upon the young people who know and are involved with the dogs. Because of this commitment, in 1999 the ADBA Board of Directors established the ADBA LEADERS OF THE FUTURE SCHOLARSHIP. This is a $1,000 scholarship, which will be paid through the financial aids office of a University, College or Trade School, to be used towards a student’s education expenses.

ADBA SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS
1) Existing student, or a student entering their first year at a University, College or trade school.

2) Experienced with the American Pit Bull Terrier (breeding, showing, weight pulling, handling, etc.)

3) Membership with an ADBA club, or attendance at, or supporting ADBA events.

4) A person with high recommendations from teacher, mentor, etc.

All Scholarship applications must be received no later than July 15th. Applications received after July 15th will be considered for next years scholarship. Incomplete applications will not be considered. All applications submitted are property of ADBA.

This is the VERY LAST DAY for the COVER CONTEST for the May 2025 issue of the APBT Gazette magazine! (ADBA registered APBT only for this contest.)

Submissions accepted until midnight tonight, March 31. Winner will be revealed when the digital magazine is released on May 1st.

Unlimited entries BUT each email MUST INCLUDE the following to be considered: ADBA registered name, registered number, high quality photo and photo credit of each dog or permission to use a photo if (it has a copyright).
