Siamese Sable Twinners. Anchor’s Nebula (first two pics) will be sticking around, while her brother (last photo) just left for his new home up north. This is not an easy color to produce with nice type, but I’m pretty happy with how these two turned out. #Improvement

Anchor's Dante is Kachemak's full brother. He has awesome mass and bone, even better than Mak's. I suspect that he may be a normal buck based on his slight ear length, but he's just so dang thick that he’s earned himself a growout cage. I've really learned to value beefy normals in my breeding program as they've produced many of my best show rabbits.

Lots of great things to say about this little buck, TF Cutter ("Rodeo"), as mentioned in my previous posts. I've been calling him "Rodeo" because he is a very, very busy buck, and trying to get him to pose sometimes feels like chasing after a greased pig or wrassling steers; but when he sits still for a few seconds it's worth it! Finally got a decent picture... Still just a lightweight now ~3lbs, but we’re working on bulking up. 🏋️ #GetThemGains #ThinkHeavyThoughts #NoCurlsNoGirls #SwoleGoals

Anchor's Scallywag
Anchor's Canyon x Anchor's Waterloo

Only 13 weeks old and hasn't even finished dropping her baby coat, but she beat out all the other does (including the seniors) to win BOSB at the URBA show B on 2/26/22! Love her big ol' fat head! I almost didn't enter her since she's still tiny, but this girl held her own!

Best of Breed in all 3 shows went to my broken JR buck, and he even went on to win RIS (Reserve Best in Show) in show C. Post to come, but he needs to sit still long enough for decent pics…)

Anchor's Kachemak ("Mak Attack")
Anchor's Canyon x Anchor's Denali

Kachemak has the best topline I've produced in ages, a very compact body & short shoulder, and a great H/E/C. He did very well at his first show, and beat out a large class of SJB and SSBs even though he was only 13 weeks old, winning BOV in all 3 URBA shows 2/26/22. The last judge said Kachemak and my broken buck were the nicest Hollands on the table (woot!) but the broken, who is very nice and a few months older, took BOB.

Lets Do This

I've been raising/showing Holland Lops on-and-off for a decade, but due to time constraints/limited space, I've had to keep things on a smaller scale and only attend a spattering of local shows.

Now that I have a bit of space and can carve out more time, I'm finally getting around to starting this page!

Anchor’s Denali
Anchor’s Deacon x LapLop’s AK1 (“Alaska”)

Denali is my only Deacon baby, and has been my favorite doe in the barn for a couple years. She’s a big, beefy, exceptionally upright brood doe who weighs 5+ lbs. She’s very structurally correct and has great genetics, so when bred to dwarf bucks she throws amazing babies.

BEHIND THE NAME:

As much as I love hanging with these little furballs, on a more serious note--my greatest source of happiness and fulfillment is derived from my personal relationship with my Creator. He is my rock, my exemplar, my ultimate purpose. I don’t mean to sound contrite or preachy—I’m a believer in “you do you and I’ll do me” but that also means that I have no qualms letting everyone know that there would be no “me” without “Him.” God is my ANCHOR through the storms of life, and the inspiration behind the name of this little rabbitry.
