AV Obedience Club this morning! We broke off into smaller groups to practice duration stays (sit/down). Training made more fun with friends. 🐾

A fun exercise where teams loose-leash walked while other dogs held a sit or down away from their owners 🥳

Words cannot express how proud we are of the progress Archie and his mom have made in their training. They have truly gone above and beyond to improve their relationship, teach him a clear communication system and increase Archie’s motivation to work with her. Trying to increase engagement in a fearful dog with minimal toy and food drive is not easy, however look at this progress! 😭🥳🥰💙

It was Charley’s (medium sized Shepherd Mix) first time at AV Club today and she did so well! The other teams provided a safe space for her to practice building her confidence around new dogs and people. Forever grateful for this small dog training community 💙

AV Club this Thursday is indoors which means you have to reserve a spot in advance via phone/email/social media. In this exercise, each team took turns loose leash walking while the other dogs had to hold a sit away from their owners. A difficult exercise that every team was able to complete!

5 month old Milo practicing all he has learned at a busy pet store today! He was able to engage with me with other people around, dogs barking, new sights and smells. 🐾

We adore this little dog! Full of spunk and enthusiasm 🎉 Wesley a 5 month old Mini Goldendoodle.

Countless things to be proud of today! Sam the St Bernard and Sophie the black GSD attended Club for the first time today with their owners! A huge thank you to Emily for helping guide the first part of Club. Emily’s dog, Winter the Pitbull, did the majority of the exercises today off-leash 🤯 We also had fun helping out Utah’s Schutzhund Club by providing a safe space for their members to train their sport dogs near other dogs and people. 💙🐾

90% play and engagement, 10% obedience behavior 🥳 Engagement is the foundation of training. You can never work on this enough. Practice in low distracting areas, so the environment sets your dog up to begin pushing you to train with them. Working with you is a privilege - free food, your undivided attention and play!

Recall with Rey! This team has worked so hard over the past 2 months. Training done well, in a kind and fair way, takes time. We promise you the results and the relationship you build with your dog are worth it!

Thank you Rachelle for helping guide a part of Club this morning! In this exercise the dogs had to hold a sit away from their owners, while one dog at a time heeled past them. The dogs heeling had to then weave around people while maintaining a loose leash. Club is there to give you ideas on what to work on at home, a safe place to work close to people and other dogs, and to see where you and your dog are struggling the most. We want to see our members progress every week. Keep training between AV Club days! 🐾

Recall with Rosie! We focus on building healthy and fulfilling relationships with our dogs. We want them to work with us on their own accord, and have fun while doing it!

Nobie (small terrier) held his sit until he was called, even after Winter was recalled first. We’re so proud 🥰
