In case you hadn’t heard yet- this February is going to be a big one for us! is having a baby girl and we couldn’t be more excited for her! Kendra will be taking a lighter load pre/post maternity leave and will be taking a few weeks off with her newborn.

We will be getting some help with dogventures from our friend Tyler who runs ! Tyler is a super experienced dog hiker who has been taking dogs for adventures for many years in the salt lake area. He’ll be added to our client group chats so don’t be surprised to see a new phone number in there.

Loved this super fun bday hike for Wednesday and Kit! Kit has been hiking with me for three years- it’s so much fun to watch these dogs grow up! It really does feel like they are a part of my family. 🩷🐾

We hope you guys have some awesome holiday plans lined up! Kendra and I are all booked up mon-wed and will be out of town/service Thursday through Saturday this week.

We are thankful for a lot of things this week (and every week) but especially the opportunity to live the life of our dreams out hiking with dogs in this beautiful state. Lots of love to all of you for supporting our small business and our dreams 🩷

Earlier this month we said goodbye to one of the finest dogs I’ve ever had the pleasure of walking. Baxter was one of a kind, a perfect combination of attitude and athleticism. He taught a fair number of our younger pack members much-needed lessons in manners and personal space. He never slowed down, running down the trail ahead of me and barking when I took too long to catch up until our last hike together.

Baxter was really lucky to have an owner who accepted him for who he was and let him be fully himself- goofy, opinionated, sweet, courageous, demanding, enthusiastic, and above all else unapologetically Baxter. He was larger than life and his absence is definitely felt on our hikes, especially when we’re out next to a rocky creek bed. One of his favorite things (much to his dad’s dismay) was to stick his full head underwater and retrieve huge rocks off the bottom to bring back to his person. I don’t know if I’ll ever pass by a big rock looking out of place on a trail and not wonder if Baxter is the one who put it there.

See you on the other side, big guy. The next pup in your dad’s life is going to have some very big paw prints to fill. 🩶
