With the heat and humidity settling in today, we’re spending most of our time enjoying the comfort of air-conditioned spaces. 🥵❄️

We squeezed in a little yard training before the temperatures really started climbing, then headed out to a few stores to work on manners, confidence, and public socialization. Even short training sessions can be incredibly productive when the weather isn’t cooperating!

These guys have been working hard and are already completely pooped. 🐾💤

A good reminder that training doesn’t always have to happen on the training field. Sometimes the best lessons happen during everyday adventures—and knowing when to call it a day and keep our dogs comfortable is just as important.

We had a great day out and about working on training, manners, and socialization! 🐾

The crew enjoyed exploring a couple of local parks, practicing polite behavior around distractions, and building confidence in new environments. The Corso girls got some fun water exposure, while Marvin and Cletus focused on working through reactivity challenges. Every outing is an opportunity to learn, grow, and build better habits!

A friendly reminder from today’s adventures:

Please never approach a vehicle and put your face directly up to a crate containing a dog—especially one displaying “Keep Back” or similar warning stickers.

Many of the dogs I work with are nervous, reactive, fearful, or behavioral cases. Having a stranger suddenly appear at their crate can be extremely stressful and may trigger an unwanted reaction.

I truly appreciate when people care about animal welfare, and it’s always okay to be concerned. In this particular situation:
✔️ The temperature was under 70°
✔️ The crates were shaded with reflective sun covers
✔️ The dogs were comfortable, relaxed, and sleeping

The best way to help is to give working dogs their space and allow them to rest comfortably while they’re traveling between training adventures.
