🏅 Congratulations to our Renaissance riders! 🏅

This past weekend, four members of the Renaissance Equestrian Center community competed at Wyn Farm, and we're so proud of each of them for representing the barn!

🐴 Nicole, our jump trainer, rode Al, owned by Anne.
🐴 Sarah and Tinker took on the weekend together.
🐴 Jennie competed with Ricky.
🐴 Tasha and Lizzo rounded out our Renaissance team.

Whether you're chasing ribbons, gaining experience, or simply enjoying time with your horse, every trip down centerline or around a course is an accomplishment worth celebrating. Congratulations to all of our riders—we're proud of you and look forward to cheering you on at your next event! 💙

✨ Feature Friday: Cover Girl ✨

This week's Feature Friday is all about Cover Girl and her owner, Mary Barsan!

Cover Girl is a 25-year-old Haflinger who has been Mary's partner for the past 13 years. Although she came to Mary as a western horse, it didn't take long to discover that Cover was willing to take on just about any challenge.

Together they've enjoyed an incredible variety of adventures, including eventing, fox hunting, trail riding, competing at the 4-H Fair (earning all blue ribbons!), and even winning the Optimum Time at the Metamora Hunter Pace with Bill riding Cover Girl and Mary riding Hershey.

Cover Girl has proven time and time again that a willing heart and a great attitude can take you anywhere.

As Mary puts it, "Cover is a gem! Great things come in small packages!" ❤️

Thank you, Mary, for sharing Cover Girl's story with us. We love celebrating the wonderful horses and riders that make up the Renaissance community!

The newest paddock is officially open, and we’d say these three are pretty big fans. There’s nothing better than seeing horses enjoy a little extra space to graze and relax.

🌱 Nothing beats fresh grass and a little extra room to roam!

Our newly completed paddock is already getting plenty of approval from its first visitors. Watching horses relax, graze, and simply enjoy being horses is one of the best parts of barn life.

We’re excited to continue making improvements around Renaissance that benefit both our horses and our boarders. 💙🐴

✨ Feature Friday: Tasha Burmeister ✨

This week's Feature Friday shines the spotlight on Tasha Burmeister and her horse, Lizzo!

Tasha and Lizzo have been part of the Renaissance family since March 2026, and we're so glad to have them with us.

For Tasha, one of the best parts of riding is the peace it brings. She says that every time she gets in the saddle, all of the outside distractions disappear, leaving just her and her horse.

As an event rider, Tasha and Lizzo have enjoyed exploring all three phases, but they're looking forward to spending more time in the show jumping ring together.

When asked what she loves most about Lizzo, Tasha didn't hesitate—his personality! He's incredibly smart, a little cheeky, and always keeps things fun.

Fun Fact: Tasha has been riding horses for 12 years! 🦄💕

Thank you, Tasha, for being part of the Renaissance community. We can't wait to watch you and Lizzo continue to grow together!

Every barn should have a well-stocked equine emergency kit, and we’re committed to being ready if an emergency ever arises.

Watch to see what’s inside our kit from Curicyn and some of the essential supplies we keep on hand to help care for our horses until the veterinarian arrives.

Hopefully we never have to use it—but we’d rather be prepared than caught off guard. 🐴💙

When an emergency happens, every second counts. That's why we purchased a dedicated equine emergency kit at Renaissance Equestrian Center with supplies that can help us respond quickly while we contact the horse owner and veterinarian.

We hope we never need to use it, but being prepared is one of the best ways we can help keep our horses safe.

We’re excited to welcome Alex Tyson to Renaissance Equestrian Center for a Horsemanship & Obstacle Clinic on Saturday, November 7!

Whether you’re a dressage rider, eventer, hunter/jumper, or simply looking to strengthen your partnership with your horse, this clinic is designed to help improve communication, confidence, and problem-solving through a fun, hands-on approach.

The day will include:
✨ Unmounted obstacle walkthrough and discussion
✨ In-hand obstacle work
✨ Mounted obstacle training
✨ Mock Working Equitation-style course (time permitting)

Clinic Fee: $120
Haul-In Fee: $35
Auditors: $25
