Grieving the loss of a pet is really hard. Hopefully Pooh helps give some comfort.

Some losses don’t get lighter with time.
They just get quieter… and heavier in different places. 🖤

People think grief fades.
What actually happens is that you learn how to carry it.
You learn how to breathe around it.
You learn how to wake up and still move forward
even when part of you stayed behind with them.

There are days you function.
You smile. You answer messages. You do what needs to be done.
And no one sees the weight you’re holding
because you’ve gotten very good at holding it. 🌫

But just because you carry it well
does not mean it isn’t heavy.

Grief sneaks in through ordinary moments.
A song.
A smell.
A quiet room.
A memory that shows up without asking. 💔

And suddenly you’re not okay —
not loudly, not dramatically —
just deeply, painfully not okay.

You miss them in ways words can’t touch.
You miss who you were when they were still here.
You miss the future that was supposed to happen.
You miss the version of life that no longer exists. 🕯

Grief is love with nowhere to land.
Love that still reaches.
Love that still remembers.
Love that refuses to disappear.

Some days you feel strong.
Other days getting out of bed feels like a victory.
Both are valid.
Both are part of surviving something that changed you forever.

You are allowed to laugh and still hurt.
You are allowed to smile and still ache.
You are allowed to heal and still miss them desperately.
None of that cancels the other. 🤍

If today all you did was exist —
that counts.
If you’re tired of being “strong” —
that makes sense.
If your heart feels heavy without explanation —
you don’t need one.

Grief does not mean you are broken.
It means you loved deeply.
And love like that leaves marks.

You are not weak for feeling this.
You are human.
And your pain is real.
And your love still matters.

Carry it at your own pace.
Feel it without apology.
Rest when it hurts too much.

There is no timeline.
There is no right way.
There is only your heart —
doing the best it can
with what it has left. 🤍
