Can you even stand how cute Valentino is?! Starting puppies young is so important when it comes to grooming. There are so many sounds and feelings to get them used to. During their first appointment, our main goal is to make their first experience a positive one and get them comfortable with the whole grooming process. I must say, this young man did fantastic handling all of the new sounds, smells and people! ✂️🤍🐾

Hi everyone!

I am extremely excited to announce that I am back into dog grooming and now full time at WAG Grooming Salon & Spa in Salem, NH.

My love of dogs began when I was very young. I have felt a connection with my four-legged friends for as long as I can remember and knew from the start that my life would forever revolve around dogs. My first dog was a spitfire of a Jack Russell mix, a big dog in a little body, who taught me so much in her 18 years on this planet. She was an extremely challenging dog, and I owe it to her for my devotion to specialize in the challenging dogs to follow. I was blessed to have her for as long as I did, and caring for her in her last days truly made me realize my soft spot for senior dogs and the importance of extra care in their older age.

In 2011, I attended the University of New Hampshire where I majored in Animal Science, with a minor in Small Animal Care. In my time there, I studied a wide variety of topics including animal behavior, pet health and wellness, veterinary science, animal handling techniques and training, and also earned my grooming diploma as well as my Pet CPR and First Aid certification.

In 2013, I opened my first grooming shop, Britt’s Clips, as part of the dog boarding facility that I was working for at the time. I became the manager of the boarding kennel and daycare, assisted in pet, sport, and police dog training, and also helped raise several litters of working line German Shepherds.

In 2019, I accepted a position as a vet tech at Mitchell Animal Hospital. This job allowed me to expand my knowledge on pet health, medical and skin conditions, proper restraint techniques, and more.

As much as I enjoyed helping animals in the veterinary world, it didn’t take me too long to realize that my heart was in dog grooming. One visit to WaG is all it took - I was searching for a self serve dog wash for my senior rescue German Shepherd, Greta. The owner and staff at this salon are undoubtedly special. They were all so knowledgeable, welcoming, and caring and it was so clear that we shared the same passion for dogs and the same standards in which to care for them. I knew right away that I wanted to join this team as more than just a client and I couldn’t be happier.

I have learned a lot and have progressed in my grooming skills while working alongside WaG’s talented groomers. The high quality of everything in the salon, from products to equipment is incomparable to any other shop I have been to. WaG instantly felt like home to me, and I am honored to be a part of this team.

When I’m not grooming dogs, my time is spent alongside my pack of 3 German Shepherds: Havok, Khaos, and Ryott. These dogs are my entire world and mean an incredible amount to me. We compete in multiple dog sports including Schutzhund, Dock Diving, Rally, and Happy Ratters. I also enjoy photography, fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, and boat days on the lake.

I appreciate each client that has followed me through the years, the new clients I have met here at WaG, and look forward to working with future clients and their four legged children.
