REALITY CHECK:

Just like most animal control centers do, Miles (now Kane) was listed as "unadoptable". Not because of his demeanor but because of his "label". He was labeled a "pit mix" which meant, he could not be adopted out to the public because pit bulls and pit mixes are considered high liability dogs. The only way a "pit" can leave many animal control centers is if a rescue is willing to pull them and adopt them out on their own.

As you can see; Kane is far from dangerous. Kane is loveable, loyal, smart & kind. He is a gentle giant who adores his family.

Kane is a dog. Kane is a companion and most importantly; Kane is family.

It's time society changes their perception. Any animal can be a liability if not properly handled/treated. Just as humans shouldn't be judged as a race, dogs shouldn't be judged based on breed. We've been taught since we were young to not judge a book by it's cover, this rule applies to everything in our lives.

Never judge a dog by his/her looks or "ASSumed" breed.
