Photo # 13, "Fight" a photo I took of Mustangs in Nevada: is a finalist in the Summer road trip contest! I think this is no particular order and is a long shot for winning considering the theme but still pretty cool to be ranked among some really incredible images! Over 13 thousand were submitted.

Enjoyed a day at Borrego Springs, CA and photographed this metal sculpture of a dragon done by a local artist. The sun came out and cast a bright hue on the dragon as the storm clouds gathered over the mountains. It was very dramatic! See more of the dragon by clicking on the image and visiting my website!

Running late on our way back to Oregon, my mom and I were treated to a very pretty scene as the sun rose over the hills in central Idaho just outside of Sun Valley. Sometimes it's the right place at the right time... and this set our moods right :-)

Went up for a flight and conditions weren't great for many of my images... but for this one I just love all the hues of blues looking out across the Gifford Pinchot National Forest with a peek of the Columbia River Gorge in the distance.

I love the forest and in this spot heading up Divide Camp Trail in Gifford National Forest was a grove of trees covered with what I call Old Mans Beard Moss. The sun was streaming through and the sky was so blue.

Took an all too breif camping trip to a remote hilltop spot in the Clearwater/St. Joe National Forest south of Lake CDA in Northern Idaho. The moon was out only a little and set early, leaving me with a dazzling sky filled with stars! This wide angle image was taken after the fire was put out over a hillside of trees and catches a portion of the Milky Way.
