Meet Joey! 🐶

Joey is a one year old mixed breed and comes to us from the Huron County Humane Society. He’s spent most of his life in the shelter, and we’re currently working with him to help build his confidence outside that environment.

When Joey first joined us, he was incredibly timid and unsure. Before we can ask a dog to learn, we have to help them feel comfortable — and that’s been our focus. With time, patience, and consistent handling, Joey has started to trust, relax, and show us his playful, goofy side. He is beginning to engage more confidently in training.

Joey is looking for a calm home that can offer a quiet, predictable environment. He seems to do well with other dogs and even cats, but his ideal match will be someone who understands that trust takes time — and is willing to go at Joey’s pace.

New Client Alert! 🐾

Kicked off training with Hank, the Scotch Collie, who joined with minimal obedience and a tendency to jump on guests. Our first session focused on engagement, implementing management techniques to address jumping, and establishing the foundation for solid obedience. Looking forward to his progress!
