A little over three weeks and Snickers is looking less like a candy bar and more like the cute little mare we know she’s going to be.
Snickers is proving to be the ideal kids’ horse. Under saddle, she’s tolerant of everything we’ve thrown at her including beginner riders, flips off her back, and a few trips around the barrel pattern. She’s a point, kick, and go type of ride. No fancy buttons to get in the way. The type you can put a little, your husband, or grandma on, and she’ll do whatever they ask of her, even while they’re pulling on her mouth and kicking at the same time.

Truth be told, Snickers is a welcomed break from the high maintenance barrel horses. She reminds us of those lesson ponies we rode when we were younger, with the patience of saints.
Can’t wait to see what she looks like in another month!
