Klaus is a stunning 3-year-old male who was raised inside as part of a family. He was originally in training to be a service dog but his heart is simply too big—he’s a friendly, happy-go-lucky boy who thrives on social interaction and play. Because of this, he’s wasn’t able to finish service dog certifications, but he is absolutely perfect for an active companion or family home. He’s been evaluated for IGP and doesn’t have the drive for the bite work either. However he’s had a lot of public access training as well as basic obedience. He has been safe in doctor’s offices and hospitals. He was started in training for PTSD tasks like deep pressure therapy, and crowd control tasks such as blocking. But when he started to lose handler focus because he gets distracted easily so he was pulled from service work around the end of 2023. With his training he could potentially be a great therapy dog, a fun companion for someone who enjoys dock diving sport or Fast CAT or just an exceptional pet.
He's very social and friendly with everyone. Has never reacted poorly towards cats he has seen but doesn't live with any. Great with male and female dogs. Just very submissive and would not do well with dominant males. He is fine with dominant females though. He's great with children. No issues with marking, food aggression or dog aggression.
