💔STILL WAITING - Not one inquiry in two months😕

Hi, my name is Cici and I’m a beautiful white and black young lady at 5 months old. I’m typically a quiet, easy-going gal, but I do love play time. I like all kinds of cat toys (teaser wands are a favorite) and also love to play with other kittens. I also love to climb, so don’t be surprised if you find me on top of a cat tree or on the windowsill checking out what’s going on outside!

I am currently in a foster home with two other kittens (Baguette and Finn). Although we aren’t related, we get along really well, playing, cuddling, and sleeping together. I’d love to be in a home with another kitty, especially if it was with one of my step-siblings!

I can be a bit shy to start, but you’ll find that once I’ve gotten to know you, I have lots of love to give. I have a good purr motor and I like to talk quietly to you (eg. I’ll remind you when it’s time for my wet food!). I like hang around near you, hop into your lap for pets, and give you ankle rubs and chin rubs. If you really want to get my attention, please offer me some treats (I love Temptations and Churu!)!

I know I’ll make a lovely companion and am I’m looking forward to the opportunity to reward you with my playful charm and quiet affection!

How can it be that our darling Baguette has not received one inquiry in over two months???

Hi, I’m Baguette, a slender beautiful tabby girl! I was a single kitten that was rescued from a property where I had a very large extended family. After my rescue, I got to go to a foster home to learn how to be an indoor kitty. I was introduced to the other two kittens (Cici and Finn), that were at the same foster home, and we have become great friends. We are such good friends that I would love to be adopted with at least one of them.

I have an easy-going, somewhat independent, personality, but boy do I love to play! Play time is my favorite activity, especially when it comes to playing with Cici and Finn. We have fun chasing and wrestling with each other and sharing all our toys. Wand toys are my personal favorite so my new family will want to invest in a few of these for me. Another favorite pastime is climbing to the top of cat trees so I can survey what’s going on below me. I have been known to snuggle with one of my kitty friends on the cat tree as well.

Meeting new people makes me a little nervous so please be patient when we meet for the first time. Of course, offering me some delicious treats (Temptations or Churu) would go a long way in making me feel more comfortable. Toys are good icebreakers as well. Once I feel more comfortable, I will show you what a loving kitty companion I can be. I like being petted, and I will purr with gratitude, and will rub on your legs when I want attention or when it’s time for the wet food to be served. I do like my wet food so you might want to stock up on some of that as well (my foster dad can tell you what my favorite foods are).

You will also discover that I like to lick your hands when you are giving me a belly massage. Now, this is an activity that we can share once we feel very comfortable with each other. I don’t spend a lot of time on laps (yet), but I’ll drop by your lap for some attention before moving on to my next exploration. I have been known to hang out on the couch next to my foster dad while we watch TV
.just don’t forget the snacks!

My perfect home would be a home with one of my foster siblings, because we get along so well. We are good friends and friends are important. I want to make sure that my new family will patient with me as I adjust to a new home, new parents and possibly new animal siblings. I want to be successful in becoming a part of your family and I will need your help to make that happen.

Mila is a ball of playful energy who’s always ready for fun! This confident little girl loves to romp, chase, and show off her silly side. Mila isn’t just the life of the party
she is the party. Mila is also quite athletic and eagerly show off her climbing and balancing skills. Mia has a big personality, and her rowdy playtime antics will keep you laughing every day.

But Mila isn’t just about play- she’s also affectionate and enjoys cuddling up on a soft lap when she’s ready for a break. If you're thinking of getting into animal rescue, here's something you need to know:

You need to build armor, not just for the hard work, but for the people.

You’ll need more than compassion. You’ll need resilience. You’ll need to remind yourself daily why you started, because the world will test you.

People will cheer you on when you post a happy rescue story. But when you say no, because your rescue is full, your funds are low, or your team is exhausted, those same voices will criticize you.

They’ll forget the animals you saved and focus on the one you couldn’t take.

Don’t let it change your heart.

Some people will praise your care, your process, your kindness, until they want to surrender a pet, and you ask questions or try to help them work through it. Suddenly, you’re the worst person for them.

That’s part of the job.

You’ll lose relationships. Some friends won’t understand why you fight for animal rights. Others will be cold to you when you’re being too dramatic for them after spending the night with a dying rescue.

Let them go.

People will call you every hour, message you at 2am, expect you to be available around the clock. You will get calls and messages you cannot humanly keep up with. And when you finally pause to breathe, they’ll say you’re fake, you don’t care.

It’ll sting, but keep breathing anyway.

Other rescuers will criticize how you operate, even if they’ve never set foot in your rescue. Some will help. Others will just talk.

Focus on the work, not the noise.

You’ll see things you can’t unsee. You’ll witness cruelty. And sometimes, no matter how fast you get there or how much you spend, you’ll still lose the animal.

Those are the nights you’ll sit and cry alone, and no one knows that.

But even in that pain, you’ll keep going.
Because despite all of it, the judgment, the burnout, the loss
 the work matters.

Every life saved is a reason to continue.

Rescue is beautiful, heartbreaking, and unforgiving. But if you’re in it for the right reasons, you’ll find strength in the heartbreak and purpose in the pain.

Just don’t lose yourself in the process.

Pepper is a remarkable little survivor with a heart as big as her story. After being found trapped in a storm drain for a couple of days, Pepper was whisked away by a kind human who later took her to the welcoming home of a kind rescuer and her teenage daughter. The girl, recovering from her own health challenges, chose Pepper as her summer project and what an adventure it became! At first, Pepper’s feisty spirit and wary eyes hinted at the rough patches she’d endured. But with endless patience, gentle words, and heartfelt devotion, her teenage foster friend showed her the true meaning of love and safety.

Now, Pepper is a transformed kitty, blossoming into an affectionate lap cat with a sweet, purring soul. She delights in long snuggles and has learned to trust, returning every ounce of care with boundless love. Though loud noises can still startle her, sending her off to her favorite cozy hideout, Pepper always returns, seeking out the warmth of a trusted lap. Pepper can live with other cats and dogs after a proper introduction, but she can also be content as the only pet. She will tolerate being held but generally prefers not to be.
