THIS DOESN’T JUST AFFECT GREYHOUNDS — IT AFFECTS ALL HUNTING DOGS
They’re telling you Amendment 25 is about greyhound racing.
That’s the headline.
But that’s not the whole story.
⸻
Right now, there are only two greyhound tracks left in the entire country — both in West Virginia.
So why is this being pushed in a federal Farm Bill?
⸻
Because the language goes beyond racing.
It includes terms like:
• “open field coursing”
• “live lure training”
❌ Terms that are not clearly defined
❌ Terms that can be interpreted later
❌ Terms that can be expanded over time
⸻
Let’s be real about what that means
When federal law starts talking about:
• Dogs
• Training
• Pursuit
…it doesn’t stay narrow.
It reaches into the real world — into kennels, hunting clubs, and the woods.
⸻
💥 We’ve already seen what happens when laws are vague:
• Dogs get treated like disposable property
• Crimes get minimized
• And good people are left dealing with the consequences
Now imagine that same system…
with broad federal language about dogs.
⸻
Some are saying they want to “fix the wording.”
We respect the effort — but let’s be honest:
You don’t protect dogs by negotiating unclear language.
You protect them by removing the threat entirely.
⸻
OUR POSITION — DON’T SHOOT HUNTING DOGS
• No edits
• No compromises
• No rewritten language
REMOVE AMENDMENT 25 COMPLETELY
⸻
These dogs:
• Track for us
• Hunt with us
• Come home to our families
They are not a loophole.
They are not a technicality.
They are part of our lives.
⸻
If it affects our dogs —
we’re going to speak on it.
⸻
🔥 Let’s hear it:
Do you trust vague federal language about dogs?
