🐶🎉 Happy DOGust 1st! 🎉🐶

Today we celebrate DOGust 1st, the Universal Birthday for Shelter Dogs!

Because many rescue and shelter dogs don’t have a known birthdate, August 1 has become the day we celebrate them all. It’s a chance to honor the millions of incredible dogs who have found loving homes—and those still waiting for their forever families.

Whether your best friend was adopted yesterday or years ago, today is the perfect day to:
🐾 Give them an extra treat
🐾 Take them on their favorite adventure
🐾 Share their adoption story
🐾 Support your local shelter or rescue
🐾 Consider fostering or adopting if you’re ready to add a new family member

Every shelter dog deserves a birthday, a loving home, and someone to call their own. ❤️

📸 We’d love to see your rescue pups! Drop a photo in the comments and tell us their name and how they became part of your family.

Please share!

🐾 UPDATE: These Sweet Seniors Are Still Looking for Homes 🐾

We have an update on these two beautiful 12-year-old German Shepherds.

After much thought and careful consideration, they are now available to be adopted separately if that means they each have a better chance of finding a loving forever home.

Their owner passed away, and through no fault of their own, they are still waiting for someone to give them the love and stability they deserve.

✨ About Them:

* 🐕 12-year-old German Shepherds
* 🏡 House-trained and well-mannered indoors
* 🛋️ Calm, low-energy companions
* ❤️ Sweet, gentle, and affectionate
* 🧠 Loyal and love being with their people

While we had hoped they could remain together, our priority is making sure each of them finds a safe, loving home where they can enjoy their golden years.

🏠 Ideal Home:

* Calm household
* Someone who appreciates senior dogs
* A family or individual looking for a loyal companion
* A comfortable place where they can be loved for the rest of their lives

📩 If you’re interested in adopting one (or both), please send me a message.

Please continue sharing this post. Even one share could help these deserving seniors find the loving homes they’ve been waiting for. ❤️🐾

🐾🚶‍♂️ Happy National Walk Your Dog Day! 🚶‍♀️🐾

Today is the perfect reminder to grab that leash, lace up your shoes, and spend some quality time with your four-legged best friend! 💙

Walking your dog isn’t just great exercise — it:
🐶 Strengthens your bond
🌞 Boosts mood (for both of you!)
👃 Gives them mental stimulation
❤️ Keeps tails wagging and hearts healthy

At Sheila’s Hope Animal Rescue, we know that sometimes the best therapy has four paws and a wagging tail. If you don’t have a walking buddy yet, maybe today is the day to adopt one. 🐕✨

🐾 Still Searching for the Right Home 🐾

These two 12-year-old German Shepherds are still waiting for a forever home — and they are hoping to stay together.

Their owner passed away, and while they’ve lost their person, they still have each other. They are a bonded pair who have spent their entire lives side-by-side and truly depend on one another for comfort.

✨ About Them:

• Happy just being near their people and resting

They aren’t asking for much — just a quiet, loving home where they can spend their golden years together in peace.

• No high activity required
• Commitment to keeping them together

We know the right home is out there — it just hasn’t found them yet.

🐾 UPDATE: Still Looking for a Loving Home 🐾

We are still searching for the right forever home for this bonded pair of 12-year-old German Shepherds who must stay together.

Their owner passed away, and through no fault of their own, these two gentle souls are still waiting for someone to open their heart and home to them.

✨ Why They’re Special:
• ❤️ Deeply bonded — they find comfort in each other
• 🧓 Senior dogs who are calm and low-energy
• 🏡 House-trained and respectful indoors
• 🛋️ Happy relaxing, napping, and being near their people
• 🐕‍🦺 Loyal, gentle, and easy companions

They don’t need much — just a quiet home, stability, and the chance to spend their golden years together.

🏠 Ideal Home:
• Calm environment
• Someone experienced or patient with senior dogs
• No need for high activity
• Must be willing to adopt them as a pair

This is a selective rehoming because they deserve peace, safety, and love after losing their person.

📩 If you or someone you know can help, please message me directly.
Even a share could be what gets them home. ❤️🐾
