** if you're squeamish do not read***
Sully came home about 3pm. He was really groggy (still is) and I had to lift him out of the suv. All the weight-lifting I do, pays off.
I finally got the call from the vet, and I've got some good news and some very concerning news.
1. Teeth look great/beautiful, no extractions needed
2. Fistula left side of p***s is improving, no discharge
3. Xray shows:
a. bilateral, moderate arthritis of hips
b. soft tissue mass effect mid abdomen, unsure if it’s due to how he was lying, or if it’s a tumor, concern there is spleen involvement. The type of tumor they are concerned about is a hemangiosarcoma (HSA)
They are going to schedule an abdominal ultrasound under anesthesia asap. I should have a referral to the oncologist at Marqueen this week.
For those who believe in the power of prayer, I ask for your prayers.
