We also handle any wildlife conflicts that may occur to ensure safety as well as compatibility in the community. The Washington county animal shelter is looking for volunteers to assist with the shelter if you think you got what it takes feel free to message me

Duty’s
Dog cages :clean by washing out the pins and replacing with fresh water and food

Cat cages: clean by switching a cat from one

side of the cage and empty the litter box wash and dry and put clean litter back in the box and give fresh water and food

There are some adorable new faces at the Washington County North Carolina Animal Shelter. The rain this week has prevented us from getting good pictures, but here is a glimpse of two new faces at shelter. Daisy is the small black and white female, and Brandy is the brown young female behind her. We are planning to get better pictures this weekend, if the weather permits.

We would like to give a big THANK YOU to Karen for fostering Winky and Blinky last week while we were out of town. Winky and Blinky both required medication twice a day for an eye inflection and Karen did a great job!! Their eyes have improved so much! Winky and Blinky will be available for adoption once cleared by their veterinarian, hopefully by the beginning of next week.

Meet Walker! He is a Walker Coon Hound, 2-3 years old and very friendly with people and other dogs. He was brought in by a gentleman that lives near the gamelands. He said that hunters will take off the collars of dogs that do not perform well and let them go. This dog had been hanging around his house for days and his cats were all upset. Hopefully, we can find Walker a new furrever home.

Recently, we had two pit bull mix, 13 weeks old,male puppies adopted. The perspective owner only thought she wanted one dog and it would be a surprise to her three daughters. She sent a video on the initial encounter with her oldest daughter. And guess what? She ended up with both puppies.

We still have three Jack Russell mix puppies. Two males and one female. We’re always looking for volunteers to walk the dogs, find rescues and just love our sweet dogs and cats. 💕🐈

We have five puppies and this sweet boxer and blue healer are up for adoption. The puppies look like they’re jack Russell and pit bull mix.
