Second juvenile Virginia Opossum (Didelphis virginiana) that managed to catch himself in one of our 'have-a-heart' humane live rat traps in the last week. When I returned to the backyard to store the (now unset- not reset) trap away for the night, I stumbled upon a 3rd juvi, same size, and very likely the same litter. He refused to crawl underneath, so upon following him around the partial fence perimeter he began to climb a small tree, but in the wrong direction, back into the yard! So I grabbed em gently and helped him over the fence. You're welcome neighbors! But seriously. They are welcome!

I CAN'T stress enough to people POISON is NEVER the solution. I had to rescue these kits as their mother lay dead feet from them, all SURROUNDED BY POISON!

This little varmint kept me up all night for days. After some irresistable bait, and a trapped and released bird, i finally got the culprit! No more piles of f***l pellets on my back patio overhang! For a short moment I thought I might never catch him, even after destroying its nest and hazing with the sound of a BB gun! Saved myself 7$ on a feeder for my spider python though! Patience is a virtue!! !!!
