We have some VERY exciting news! 🐾

Our upcoming litter will be Finley’s very first litter, and we could not be more excited! Finley has followed in the footsteps of his incredible father, R***r, with his natural ability and beautiful temperament for service work.

Finley is also our very first stud dog to complete PennHIP evaluations in addition to his OFA health testing and comprehensive DNA genetic testing. We are incredibly proud of him and cannot wait to see the beautiful puppies he produces!

This special litter is expected in approximately two months, and the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th picks have already been reserved!

After an amazing and busy summer, we are ready to settle in and welcome the newest little members of the PNW Labradors family. We are counting down the days and cannot wait to take you along on this exciting journey! 🐶🤍

We received the sweetest one-year update on Charlie—also known as Prince Charlie, Stinky, and Mr. Wiggle Butt! 😂❤️

Charlie’s family says he is the sweetest, funniest, and most compassionate boy. At daycare, if he notices a dog sitting alone, he makes sure to go over and include them. He even convinced an older, “unplayful” dog to play for the first time in years! He is also so gentle that he lets his little puppy friend sleep right on top of him until her nap is over. A true gentleman! 🥹

Charlie loves training, learns new tricks quickly, walks beautifully on a leash, and will do just about anything for a treat! He has also become the daycare’s number-one Facebook marketing dog and happily dresses up for every holiday photo. 📸🐾

He is incredibly gentle with his toys, wonderfully protective of his person, and absolutely adores children. When his three-year-old niece visits, Charlie stays right by her side and watches over her.

Nothing makes us happier than receiving updates like this and seeing how deeply our puppies are loved. Charlie has clearly found his person, and they share such a beautiful bond. Thank you to his wonderful family for giving him an amazing life and sharing his sweet, funny personality with us!

Happy one year together, Prince Charlie—Mr. Wiggle Butt himself! ❤️🐾

Happy summer from sweet Sarah! ☀️🐾

From the very first day she came home, Sarah claimed her favorite chair. She may not fit quite as well anymore, but that certainly hasn’t stopped her—it’s still her chair! 😂

She loves Amazon deliveries because they give her the perfect excuse to run, brings her family a stick every single day, and is completely attached to their other Lab. The two of them are truly the best of buddies. 💛

Sarah is incredibly smart, full of personality, and always keeps her family laughing. Updates like this make our hearts so happy—she is clearly loved beyond measure! 🐾

⚠️ A Heartbreaking but Important Pet Safety Reminder ⚠️

Yesterday, we received the horrifying news that one of our puppies tragically passed away after getting into her family’s compost pile. Even though she was rushed to the emergency veterinarian, there was sadly nothing they could do.

Her family, along with all of us here at PNW Labradors, is completely devastated and heartbroken. This is the first puppy we have lost, and we are navigating this unimaginable grief with as much care, compassion, and kindness as possible.

We want to be very clear: this post is not being shared to criticize, blame, or judge anyone. Her family loved her deeply, acted quickly, and has asked us to share what happened in hopes that greater awareness may prevent another family from experiencing this devastating loss.

Many people do not realize just how dangerous a compost pile can be to puppies and dogs. As food and organic materials break down, mold can grow and produce dangerous substances called tremorgenic mycotoxins. If ingested, these toxins can quickly affect a dog’s nervous system. In some cases, even a small amount of contaminated material may cause a life-threatening emergency.

Signs of compost or mold toxicity may include:

• Vomiting or excessive drooling
• Restlessness or agitation
• Weakness or loss of coordination
• Muscle tremors
• Seizures
• Rapid breathing or heart rate
• Elevated body temperature
• Collapse or loss of consciousness

Compost may also contain foods that are toxic to dogs, including grapes or raisins, onions, garlic, chocolate, coffee grounds, certain nuts, and foods containing xylitol. Corn cobs, fruit pits, bones, and other materials can create choking hazards or life-threatening intestinal blockages. Depending on what has been placed in the compost, fertilizers, pesticides, or other garden products may add further risks.

Puppies are especially vulnerable because they are curious, explore with their mouths, and can get into something dangerous within seconds. A compost pile may smell incredibly appealing to them, even when it looks or smells unpleasant to us.

Please keep all compost in a sturdy, securely covered, dog-proof container. Ideally, place it behind a physical barrier or fencing that pets cannot access. Regularly check lids, gates, and fencing, and never assume that supervision alone will prevent a determined puppy from reaching it.

If you believe your dog may have eaten compost or moldy food, do not wait for symptoms to appear. Contact your veterinarian or an emergency veterinary hospital immediately. Do not induce vomiting unless a veterinary professional specifically instructs you to do so.

We wish with all our hearts that we did not have a reason to share this message. We are honoring this beautiful puppy by helping others understand a danger that many loving and responsible pet owners simply do not know about.

Please share this post. If it saves even one puppy or dog, her story will have made a difference.

Our hearts remain with her family as we grieve alongside them. She was deeply loved, she will always be remembered, and she will forever be part of the PNW Labradors family. 🐾💔
