New study in JAVMA says that emotional health can be a factor in dogs with chronic gut issues. Dogs that scored worse in emotional health questionnaires filled out by their owners had a correlation with gut issues like stress colitis.
If your dog struggles with chronic soft stool or some vomiting it may be worth checking out more in depth. Tests can be run but we should also consider good mental stimulation, quality time, quality play etc to keep their mental health happy just like ours.

Officially celebrating 7 years!

Seven years ago, our family opened the doors to Forty32 Animal Hospital with a dream of serving the pets and people of Northwest Arkansas.

Those first few weeks in July 2019, clients slowly started coming through our doors, and it didn’t take long to realize we had found the right community—a place where we could raise our boys, put down deep roots, and build something meaningful.

Starting a family-owned business from the ground up meant taking a leap of faith and betting on ourselves. It has been one of the most challenging things we’ve ever done, but without a doubt, it’s also been the most rewarding.

To every client who has trusted us with your pets over the past seven years: thank you. It is truly an honor to be part of your pet’s life, and we’re incredibly grateful to serve some of the best pet parents—and care for some of the cutest patients around.

Dr. Owen Allphin and his beautiful wife attended a quick weekend conference and learned a lot about how our vet clinic can better serve you! We want to make it easier and hopefully more affordable to get your pet protected from harmful diseases and parasites while keeping them safe from harmful chemicals. Our surgeon and practice owner Dr. Owen Allphin loves to fix things. This cat had a severed ligament and bad luxation making it unable to use that leg. After a successful surgery we are back to walking and on the road to recovery. Call us at 479-282-1919 with your pets orthopedic concerns.

Aaron spotted the cutest little nest in our landscaping. We love this time of year! Make sure you get your pet the flea, tick and heartworm meds they need so they can enjoy the outdoors safely!

Staff meeting games today were a hit. We did dollar bets on random races including hot wheels, corgis, ducks, pigs and turtles. Big winners were Alexa and Nicole 😂 luckily no hotline calls were needed for gambling problems
