Shady Grove D.C. fancy pet rats We are a small family Rattery and Breeder of Pet Rats in Washington, D.C. We breed gentle and playful pet rats. Health & temperament are our top priorities!

We are located on Rockville, Montgomery County, MD, on the north-west suburbs of Washington, D.C.

Today was a separation day for the pups. The boys had to go to their own cage, separate from the girls, to prevent "accidents". Mama rat is missing her boys, but it is for their own good 🥹

The pups will be ready for new homes this weekend! Please reach out if interested. A few are still not reserved.

This litter of pups is ready for rehoming soon. Please reach out if interested.

Friendly, well-handled fancy rat pups ( DOB: Aug 27, 2025 ). They’re being kept with their mother until fully weaned and are socialized daily. Both parents were obtained from reputable lines and are known for good health and calm, playful temperaments; these pups are already showing that temperament.

All the pups have white bellies and white legs.

Rats are social animals and for their health should not be housed alone. For that reason they most be rehomed at a minimum two together, but ideally three or more.
