Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary, Inc. Rockford IL Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary is a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter in Rockford, IL. Make Adoption Your First Option. We adopt out cats and dogs.

We were founded in 1978 to provide housing for stray, unwanted and abandoned animals. Adoption Requirements:
1. We require 1 adult in the household to meet the animal. For select animals, we may require that multiple/all members of the household meet the animal.
2. If you have a dog, then your dog must meet the dog you intend to adopt. You must also bring proof that your dog has his/her rabies va

ccine.
3. If you own your home, you must provide proof that you own your home (i.e. mortgage statement or tax bill). If you rent your home, you must provide written approval (i.e. lease or letter) that states you can have the animal in your home. Adoption Fees:
- Puppies 8 weeks - 6 months: $350
- Puppies 6 months - 1 year: $325
- Dogs 1 year - 10 years: $225
- Dogs over 10 years: $100
- Purebred dog with papers: $400
- Purebred dogs without papers: $350
- Kittens under 1 year: $100
- Cat over 1 year: $50
- Purebred or exotic cats: as listed

All animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations for their age, dewormed, and given 30-day flea/tick/heartworm prevention.

🐾⛳ Join Us for Fore! The Love of Animals Golf Play Day! ⛳🐾

We’re looking for 16–18 Field Trip Handlers to spend the afternoon with an adoptable shelter dog at our annual golf outing on Friday, June 12 at Ingersoll Golf Course!

Handlers will pick up their dog from Noah’s Ark at 11:30 AM and spend the event (12–5 PM) walking the course, visiting guests, and helping our amazing pups get the attention they deserve.

💚 It’s a fun way to give a shelter dog a day out while helping them meet potential adopters and supporters.

PUPDATE: Adopted!

Bella is our longest Noah's Ark canine and she is so eager to find her people. ❤ She has been with an amazing foster family and is doing so great but she deserves to make her happy landing. She is a 1 year old Yellow Lab mix. Bella will be at the Ark this weekend (tomorrow at noon to Saturday at 3pm) in hopes that she will meet her new family. Please come meet this special girl! 🐾🩷

Meet Kali! 🎀This pretty girl is a 6 year old Chocolate Lab mix. She was surrendered at no fault of her own. Kali is a sweet, loving, gentle soul. As she’s demonstrating here, she loves a good belly rub. You can also find her sunbathing in the play yard or cuddled up in her bed. Kali is looking for a semi-active owner that likes a good balance of sunset walks and binging Netflix. She doesn’t seem to mind other dogs but she would like a calmer canine companion.
