I heard a rumor that this facebook thing is going to remove pages that don't get a lot of activity. So, I want to tell all my friends out there that I was 'dopted officially earlier this month. I'm not exactly sure what that means, but...I have been staying at my sister's house since January and it's pretty nice here. They tell me that I'm home to stay and I'm never going to leave and my dad signed a paper that says I'm their's. It is so nice to belong. I have so many people to thank who helped me and believed in me. My Anne and my Stephanie mostly. And then there's Linda for saving me, Eda for encouraging me, Kenny and Deb for wanting to be my friend even tho I didn't know how to do that. Ms. Kim for keeping my space clean and my belly full. Tom, Jay & Rob for showing me men are nice, too. Lisa A for throwing me and my family a wonderful birthday. Becky Bansch for helping my ladies know how to handle my tantrums and still liking me even after I misbehaved in class. Becky, Elvine and Jen M for training tips for Anne and Stephanie even when I knew I had pushed them beyond frustration. They didn't give up on me and for that I am grateful. I am loved and learning to trust. It is hard and I still get very scared, but I am lucky. My parents understand me and my sister doesn't take any of my s**t. Life's good. There are a bunch of my friends still living at the kennel with Eleventh Hour Rescue. Don't be afraid of us. We know how to love. Visit www.ehrdogs.org and find your friend.

As you may have noticed, I've been sort of quiet lately. Well, its been a month and I've been staying at my sister's house with her parents and they've been helping me. They took me in and give me food and warmth and love. I get along very well with my sister....we have our spats now and then but for the most part we get along very well. I tried to boss her but she's the boss of me and its ok. I don't want to make her mad and tell her parents to throw me out. I like her parents a lot and they help me through my tantrums. I am struggling to find my place, but I am getting there. You all know, change is hard for me and new people scare me more than I let on. But I'm learning to behave myself in my foster home. I had a birthday this month and I turned 3 and got to celebrate with some of my Eleventh Hour favorite volunteers and my family and my siblings. We were cranky with each other, but that didn't come as a surprise to the humans. It was a nice party, thanks to our friends Anne and Lisa. We all walked and then had cake of the canine and human variety. I got a hug from my BFF, Stephanie. I had to go to a new vet recently and I'm embarrassed to write that I was so scared I peed like a baby on the exam table. I don't know why I get so scared, but I'm very lucky that I have humans around me that understand my fears and accept me for who I am and love me anyway. I hope everyone is staying warm and safe during this cold February. I like to play in the snow, but it is even too cold for my four paws.

I had a great weekend! Even though I had to visit the vet, I forgot about that pretty quickly because right after that I went to visit new people and a dog at a house with a fenced in yard and I got to run and play and have fun and BE A DOG. Then yesterday, Anne drove me over to Horseshoe Lake and I walked with a new person and it didn't freak me out. I don't usually like change. Change scares me and when I get scared....well, I don't know what to do. But all these changes that I had in my life in two short days...weren't so bad. I hope I have more great weekends like this one.

Today I visited the vet and I found out I don't have any health insurance. It is common for dogs like me that live at a non-profit rescue, but I had to get some tests done and the bill that's going to come to my 'house' is more than my four paws can afford. I could use some help in footing the bill. If you have any holiday money left over or if you still need to make a donation that could help with your tax write offs for this year, I could sure use the help. You can mail a check to Eleventh Hour Rescue, PO Box 218, Rockaway, NJ 07866 or go online at www.ehrdogs.org and click donate. Every penny will help and I will be FUREVER grateful. Happy New Year!

My humans think they are funny. They put this new shirt on me that says something. I can't read, but Anne told me it says naughty is the new nice. I'm trying.....its tough for me to accept change but I'm trying and I'm a very lucky boy. I have some really nice people that have patience with me and believe even though I can be naughty, I am nice, too. I'm still hoping Santa brings me a new family for Christmas. www.ehrdogs.org

Santa came to visit me and my kennel friends on Sunday and I got to get my picture taken with him. He asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I have the same wish this year. A Home. Look at that twinkle in Santa's eye, maybe, right? Happy Holidays to all my friends. If you find you have room in your life or know someone that has room for a fun loving, furry friend and can help Santa with my wish, go to www.ehrdogs.org and ask to meet me.

Today is probably one of my favorite days. It started out with me going for a picture with a big man with a red suit and white beard and I wasn't so fond of that. Photos with Santa was all I heard and this Santa kind of freaked me out. So my photo might be different. But after Santa, Anne took me to Horseshoe Lake and on the way she contacted my sister Gracie's dad and they came to the lake and we walked. It was a nice walk, just the four of us and we enjoyed ourselves. Anne said she was proud of me. I don't know what that means, but it sounded good to me. Then back at the kennel, I spent some time with a nice man, Jay. He had bacon treats...I love bacon. He was nice to me. He didn't make me afraid. It was a day for the good day record books. I am still looking for a family to call my own. Visit www.ehrdogs.org and check out my story....maybe I would fit with you?

My human's got me a backpack and I like it. I like it a lot. I feel secure wearing it and don't feel afraid or exposed. My Bff, Anne, kept touching my back and it was a little annoying at first but the more she did it, the more I didn't mind. Like it scared me at first, but then I got used to it. I had a great day Sunday, wearing my new pack and walking with my friends as we paid tribute to our fallen kennel sister, Sissy. I even got to see my sister, Gracie and her dad and we walked together for a while. I wanted to play with her, but Anne's still cautious with me. She should be - I still get excited, but I'm learning what to do with that. Check me out tomorrow night at 6:30 at Paws-itive Experience Pet Service with my volunteer friends and my special friend Becky Bansch. She helps me a lot and I have a crush on her, but don't tell her...I'm not ready to reveal that secret yet. For more information about me visit www.ehrdogs.org

My humans tried a backpack on me tonight and I liked it. I felt very important, like I had a job to do and so this video may seem like it's slow motion - it's not. That's me. I decided I needed to take my time so that my pack would stay securely in place. I liked it a lot. I hope they let me do that again...I felt very safe, like it was a coat of armor or something. Great fun at agility class tonight. I still don't like it when Anne goes and hangs out with some of the other dogs, but Stephanie is helping me understand that even though she touches the other dogs, I'm still her favorite

Hi friends, it's been a while since I've updated my page. I've been having a bit of a struggle the last few weeks. My brother, Thor, got adopted and while I didn't see him much at the kennel, I didn't realize how much I would miss him when he left. It scared me not to see his familiar face around on pack walks and at agility class. When I get scared, I misbehave, so I have been giving my human friends quite a workout in trying to understand why I have these 'moments'. I'm starting to realize that they want only the best for me, so I'm starting to relax a little bit. For the first time, I let my BFF, Anne, rub my belly. I've also made friends with Chris again and I'm hoping he takes me out for a walk soon. My other BFF, Stephanie took me to Boonton one Friday night to be blessed by Father Tim and I really enjoyed myself. I was a little scared, but mostly I liked watching all the action. I keep hearing my humans say I'm getting there. I'm not sure what that means, but I hope that 'there' is in a home of my own. If you are interested in meeting me visit www.ehrdogs.org or come to Paws-itive Experience in Rockaway on Wednesday night at 6:30...my humans bring me to agility class for an hour so I can get in my workout for the week.
