Good news!!! 📰 !!! ♥️🐾🙏

While we didn’t take this girl into our rescue because we have a long waitlist.. could have taken 4 months or 4 years, we never know. We rely on adoptions to save more so we have room. We only have a certain amount of kennels, and spots for dogs, and we also care for cats. (We actually desperately need another. We have one on our Amazon wishlist if anyone is able to help.) ♥️

Original owner left her with the roommate when he moved. And after awhile the roommate had to move and couldn’t bring the dog. New place had restrictions on dogs. I put an urgent SOS out. 🆘

After a week or two of posting, someone contacted me, they had the same breed for many years that passed and decided it may be time to adopt again..they were great people.

The thing is, I check people out, and make sure the breed, is a right fit for family. The dogs personality is a right fit for the family.. because rehoming again is hard. I was a foster kid myself and each time it traumatized me. So yes I could have faster adoptions sometimes.. but I’d rather find good people and good fits. So they don’t get returned, rehomed, or dumped.

And today they came to meet her, and she found an amazing fit!! This photo is after adoption!

Reality is, most, and I almost all dogs that end up in the shelters around here end up euthanized after just a few days. The rural shelters do not have the resources. And there is no other rescues, or resources In this vicinity or region. And no spay and neuter clinic to slow down the problem either!!

As I mentioned before the waitlist goes up and down for around 40 dogs currently. And adoptions for us our slow. This dog was not in our care. But I’m still very happy he found a home. 🏡

🚨 FOUR ADORABLE MALE PUPPIES READY FOR THEIR FURREVER HOMES! 🐶❤️ PLEASE SHARE 🐶 (two are new from last post)

We are desperately looking for loving homes for 6 puppies total now, four handsome boys are ready to go now! 2 females ready next week. Please share to help us find them families. 🙏

📍 Rochester, Texas (Haskell County) I can transport up to 90 minutes. (Witchita Falls, Abiline.)

MeBo’s Animal Rescue is currently FULL. Once these puppies find homes, we can save even more animals in need. ❤️

🐾 About the Puppies:

• All 4 are males

• Approximately 10–12 weeks old

• Two are long-haired, one short hair we highly suspect dad may have been a Great Pyrenees. As they have dew claws and size.

• Last one with green collar is 1/3 the size and we suspect dad is smaller size dog.

• Mom is a medium-sized brindle dog

The remaining two puppies in the litter will be spayed and available in the coming week.

💉 Each puppy comes:

✔️ Flea treated

✔️ Dewormed (twice)

✔️ At least 2 vaccines (and a 3rd if age-appropriate)

✔️ Neutered

✔️ Microchipped

💲 Adoption Fee: $100

This saves adopters hundreds of dollars in veterinary care:

• Deworming: ~$40

• Vaccines: ~$60+

• Neuter: ~$100–$300

• Microchip: ~$30–$80

And knowing its healthy, priceless. Many people get free animals and end up at the vet not long after with hundreds or thousands of dollars of vet bills. 😳

Your adoption fee also helps us rescue more animals. 🥰😇

💙 Personalities:

• All four are incredibly sweet and loving and playful. Can be a little shy at first. 🐾

We fixed 10 cats and took in 12 kittens today!! 🙀

The only real solution is SPAYING AND NEUTERING your pets and community animals. Why? Because every litter born takes away from another animal needing a home. And sadly, many kittens born outside never survive.

That unfixed male cat roaming around town? He may have gotten 15+ cats pregnant in the last year. One litter may not seem like a big deal… but every litter adds to the problem. Kittens can start having babies as young as 4 months old. And when kittens are rehomed unfixed, the cycle just spreads into more homes, more towns, and eventually more strays.

Reality is heartbreaking. A mama cat may start with 8 babies, and only 2 survive. Some starve. Some get sick. Some are attacked or hit by cars. This is what rescuers see every single day.

Even one unspayed cat and her kittens can turn into hundreds of cats in just a few years. Now imagine that multiplied across an entire community.

This isn’t about blaming animals — it’s a people problem. And honestly, I didn’t fully understand all of this at one point either. But once I learned, I changed how I did things. And you can too 🥹♥️

Heck, I’m still learning every day too 🙏
