Hey y’all just a PSA. I got a phone call from a “deputy” from the Johnson county sheriff’s department. They told me I had a warrant for failure to appear and I had signed for my “expert witness” in an ongoing to investigation. Also that I could pay a bond of $9,100 or turn myself in. 🤯 I started asking a lot of questions and did some more digging on my phone during the conversation. Then, they were going to switch me to the county clear to speak about the bond amount. Then, they hung up. I immediately call Carter County Sheriff and they said this has been happening a lot since the hurricane. It’s a complete scam. 🤬 People are disgusting and trying to take advantage of others during a vulnerable time. Please be aware and let your elderly know because they would most vulnerable to agreeing to this nonsense.

We have an extra pig available ready for harvesting. You can get whole or half with another family getting half. These are pastures raised, no hormones, no anti biotic, just happy piggies living in sunshine. If you are interested or know someone who is please let me know and I will pm you details.

So just a small update.... we got our pigs back from processing. 7 boxes! 567lbs of roasts, chops, tenderloin, ribs, sausage, and bacon (we still have to cure it) this has been so rewarding. Our kids were beyond excited for this and to see the circle of life and to know where food comes from. They were particularly excited for the pig heads, we will be making jowl bacon from and use in an anatomy lesson. Plus lots of offal and raw healthy bones for our dogs.

Saying good to 2/5 of our piggies. We got them when they were only about 50lbs each, 10-12 weeks old, now they weigh about 400+. It’s hard knowing you’re sending something you raised to harvest, BUT I know their whole lives were spent in sunshine, more food than they could eat, and love and care. My four year old asked, “Are these for us to eat?” I told her yes and she jumped on the trailer and said THANK YOU PIGS!!!! That’s the important lesson, we love them while we have them and then thank them when it’s time to say goodbye 🐷 🥓
