Thank you to everyone who came out to see us today! What a wonderful event!
Thank you so much to Dog gone Holistic FishHawk for hosting us! We truly appreciate you letting us take over your lobby with our crazy mutts. 🤪🐶
Thank you to our amazing team for always kicking ass and getting 'er done. I couldn't be more proud of each of you and your comradory, how we work together to accomplish great things! You're all unmatched and I'm endlessly grateful for you each.
and Thank you to each and every one of you who lifts us up and continues to support our rescue.
We met so many new friends today, even for a tiny pop up event, and had great conversations. We realize we are extremely different from every other rescue you'll ever know, we are truly not replicatable, and we always appreciate everyone who understands and appreciates that about us.
The heart & soul of it all, is a small group of individuals who deeply commit to changing lives, and more than that, uphold the mission, values and the vision of one woman who very early in her life, decided she wanted to change the world, one animal saved at a time. In the utmost, purest way. The ideal, beyond best practice. I often tell my adopters, I'm like the crazy John Hammond in Jurassic Park (one of my fave movies by the way) I need to be there for the hatching of each and every one of my baby dinosaurs. Haha I'm a weirdo, it keeps me grounded LOL but in fairness I essentially rescue, name, build each health plan with our team of vets, and behavior assess EVERY one of our animals with few exceptions. I love them each like theyre my own! Because, well, they are until theyre not. Their ours. This team loves our babies! And we share them and share fostering and foster sitting and it's really a beautiful thing. You won't have adopted here without having had many a conversations with me personally, as well as with fosters. And my adopters will tell you, I shoot it straight. Because I care. Equally, our team is by design, I select each member of this team and we work tirelessly together every step of the way. They are each second to none. Their whole family, the kids, the teens, their pets. They're all integral. And we couldn't do this at this level of impact without that trust and our little rescue community we have built.
As that woman, I am forever humbled and grateful to have such support around me to continue this (often times gut-wrenching, exhausting, unfathomable and seemingly impossible) dream to save animals but to also lead by example on how companion pets (and all animals) deserve to live and be loved for who they are. When I say, I'd save them all if I could, oh boy, the level in which I mean that, has been a lifetime of heartache. But for each we can save, it is the only thing that keeps me going.
So thank you. This rescue is my little love letter to the world, doing what I've done since truly I could walk, saving animals, talking about animals, teaching about animals, sacrificing for animals, working for a better world for animals. and showcasing what pure, unconditional love looks like centering on each perfectly perfect individual animal we have the honor of rescuing. Telling their stories. Sharing who they are. They deserve that.
It's really never been about me, or us, but them. And I just wanted to say thanks for being here. These precious souls deserve our best every day and we will keep fighting for that! For them. Compassion for all lives. 😘🥰
Anyway! I'm done being sappy. It happens. I'm overtired and haven't slept in weeks because bottle babies really like to eat. Around the clock. The nerve. 🫠😝
Time to go feed Applesauce who is screaming at me as usual and go to bed!
Night all!
