Hi everyone,

Today we lost a beautiful soul. Shamus passed peacefully on his own in the pasture, surrounded by love. He was so incredibly handsome, with a presence that filled every space he walked into. He was also my favorite fence-breaker of all time, and his spirit and mischief brought so much light to this place. I will miss him more than words can say.

For those who have been asking, here are some answers:

1. You can still visit the farm through the end of December. Tours are on Sundays at 11am and 1pm. You can register from our website: www.spiritspromise.com

2. Spirit’s Promise is moving to upstate NY. The exact location will be revealed once all of the details are worked out.

3. ALL of the animals will be moving too! 😊

4. Sherry will still be working for Spirit’s Promise remotely to help us continue to help both horses and people.

5. Those who were line dancing at our farm can continue to dance in the area with Jenn. Please follow Line Dancing With Jenn for more information.

6. You can still call us at 631-875-0433 with any other questions you might have.

Great news! Spirit’s Promise has simply outgrown our space on Long Island, and an exciting chapter awaits us upstate New York where the mission can continue to grow.

It is with great sadness that we must shut down our line dancing program at The Barn due to zoning issues with the town. The line dancing community has brought so much joy to the farm and has supported our animals and programs for years. We will miss the weekly smiles and laughter that filled our barn and hope you will all still visit us from time to time. Please continue to support our wonderful instructor, Jenn Demeo, who will be moving her classes to the American Legion Post 273 at 89 Hubbard Avenue in Riverhead, the Shoreham Rec Center on Defense Hill Road in Shoreham, and the Polish Hall at 214 Marcy Avenue in Riverhead.
