Everyone is currently doing great. Star has decided she needs to be carried around every time Iā€™m doing something in there. She and her sister are so messy, so she has had 2 baths so far with another one probably coming soon. She is skin and bones still, but eating like a champ.

Welcome 2 new babies caught yesterday. They seem to both be singleton babies, so we are working on getting their mamas now. Once they are cleared at the vet, Iā€™ll house them together because they seem so lonely. They need names, so send me some suggestions!

Did a small kennel reorganization to make space for our 2 new babies. Sunny and Star are from a litter of 5 that are next on the list to be trapped. Hopefully they can get moved to a bigger kennel in the next few days.

Also, peep the feral lady in the beginning of the video. I always keep the kennelā€™s of the adult cats covered to reduce their stress. She is now spayed and ready to be released on Friday.

The kittens have officially moved to their new room! This set up is much better and there is enough room for everyone to be in bigger kennels. The only problem now is that Iā€™m out of 36 inch crates!! If anyone has any wire dog crates of any size that they donā€™t need anymore, please donate or sell them to me! More kittens are coming in and need somewhere to go.

With it getting so hot, I added a few things to the Amazon wishlist to help keep the colony cool and keep their water from getting hot so quickly. If anyone local has any old drink coolers that could be made into cat houses, I would love to have them.

Nightly kennel reset for all the babies!! Everyone is definitely getting more and more comfortable. I am currently cleaning out the junk room, so there will be space for bigger crates and a free play area for the less skittish kittens. More to come on that.

Edit: these cats live here and are feral. I trapped them and got them spayed. They know how to survive here better than if I put them somewhere new. This is not just an open field and parking lot, there are big areas of trees and bushes. They are fed daily and watched out for. Feel free to check out my other posts for more in-depth explanations.

Shine and Lavender are the 4th and 5th cats to be fixed and released!! Have a nice baby-free life, ladies!!

Shine and Mama Lavender are both spayed and recovering well. 2-3 days of recovery and theyā€™ll be back home!

Shimmer and Oreo were both released today! I planned on letting Oreo recover for one more day, but she was so anxious that I felt it was delaying her recovery. They were both very happy to be back.

I was mistaken yesterday, and the kitten we caught was actually part of the first litter, so sheā€™s back with her siblings now. Iā€™ll now be referring to them as ā€œthe purple litterā€ since I decided to call their mom Lavender. They are a little mad that I took their mama, but they are well old enough to be without her.

On my way home from dropping the girls off for their spay this morning, I spent 2 hours catching these orange feral babies in a parking lot. I got the darker one almost immediately, but the blonde one was being very evasive. The blonde one is very vocal and very spicy.

Finally, to end the day, we have in custody 2 of the kittens from the litter weā€™re working on catching. I spent my evening giving antibiotics and eye cream to everyone who looked a little sickly.
