My mom was cleaning up our old irrigation dams before watering yesterday. Dragging the tarps across the pasture really drew this guy's curiosity. Look at him follow her! Might have to intorduce tarps soon 🤪

A little behind posting, but this was our first day working together (Saturday). This little guy is so curious and goofy! He warms up so quick. I think we are going to have quite a successful journey together.

⏰️ Counting down the hours ⏰️

Just like last year, I was out of town when my new mustang arrived home. Luckily, my parents took care of bringing him home and getting him settled in.

So far, he's already made friends with Autumn and Dune, and he's even letting my mom give him pets and scratches! Not exactly what you'd expect from a wild mustang. 😂

From the pictures and videos, he seems super calm and curious, which makes me even more excited to meet him.

I can't wait to get home tonight to finally meet my new partner and start our journey together! ❤️🐎

🐴Mustang Pick-up Day!🐴

Today I got to meet this year's group of wild mustang yearlings. I believe they're all originally from Wyoming—born and raised in the wild before spending the last several months at the BLM facility in Challis.

Honestly, this was an amazing group of horses. Every single one had something special about them, and I don't think there was a bad choice in the bunch!

After a lot of looking, watching, and debating, I narrowed it down to these three favorites:

✨ Horse A ✨ Horse B ✨ Horse C

Now it's your turn to guess...

Which one do you think came home with me? 🤔🐎

Drop your guess in the comments below! I'll reveal my new partner soon.

Got Autumn to figure out the water!! Goodbye water trough!

If you don’t know, Autumn is a 3 year old I got a couple weeks ago. She is saddle broke but still green. I hope to continue to work with her and take her to shows next year.

Here's a video of our Mustang Trail Challenge. We learned a lot from this course. There were things we were able to do at home, but surrounded by the craziness of fair and other stressed horses, we struggled. Dune still did amazing in spite of it all. And considering its my first year training a yearling, I am super proud of our progress. Next year I'll come back better prepared with another amazing mustang!
