Everyone have a safe and fun 4th of July 🇺🇸🎆

Safety tips for dogs for fireworks:
- Keep them indoors when fireworks are happening.
- Keep identification on them (collars with tags, trackers, air tags, etc.)
- Play background sounds in the house to help drown out the fireworks.
- Use pet safe CBD or medication prescribed from the vet.
- Frozen kongs/lick mats, puzzle toys, or other interactive toys to help distract them during the fireworks.
- Exercising and training throughout the day to keep them busy.

🐕 When working on leash manners, it’s important to set clear expectations of what you’re looking for in your walk. For me, I want the dog to be nice and relaxed at my side. I want between their shoulder to their head to stay in line with my leg. It’s also important that when you are rewarding your dog that you are reaching far enough across your body to reward them in the position they’re in. The most common mistake people make when rewarding a heel position is they pull the treat too far in front of them which is actually rewarding the dog for leaving the heel position and not staying in it.
