It’s $2 Tuesday and this week, we’re asking for a little help for Blue!

If you’ve been to one of our events, chances are you’ve met this big ham! He loves just as hard as he stubbornly refuses to go on walks. 😂

Unfortunately, a mass recently formed on his foot, and our vet suspects cancer. Thankfully, it appears localized, but they’re recommending removing the mass and amputating one of his toes.

His surgery estimate is $917.32, with possible therapy afterward depending on how he adjusts.

If just 459 people donate $2, we can cover his entire surgery estimate!

Can you spare $2 to help our sweet Blue? 💙

🎉🐾 HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SHANNON!! 🐾🎂❤️

Please help us wish our amazing Rescue Coordinator, Shannon, a very Happy Birthday!! 🥳

For those of you who don’t know, Shannon spends her Monday-Friday at our rescue, tending to the dogs and making sure they receive the love, attention, and care they deserve! From feeding, cleaning, medications, vet appts, and daily enrichment to helping our dogs work through their individual challenges, she plays such an important role in keeping our day-to-day operations running smoothly!

Shannon is such a special part of Country Acres Rescue, and we truly couldn’t do what we do without her! She puts so much of her heart into caring for these dogs, and her hard work and dedication never go unnoticed. She means so much to us, but especially to the dogs who look forward to seeing her every single day!

Shannon, we hope you have the BEST birthday! Thank you for everything you do for the rescue, and most importantly, all the dogs who depend on you. We are so lucky to have you as part of our rescue family, and we appreciate you more than you know!!

Happy Birthday from all of us at Country Acres Rescue, especially your four-legged crew!! 🐶💕🐾

ALMOST ONE YEAR OF WAITING. AUDREY IS HOME!

On November 9th, 2025, Audrey entered the shelter. Scared, shut down, and unsure of the world around her. In March, she came to us, and her incredible foster stepped up and quite literally saved her life by asking for a rescue for her. She fundraised for her training and really set her up for success.

With patience, love, and a safe place to land, Audrey blossomed into the incredible girl we know today. And anyone who has had the pleasure of meeting her knows just how special her personality is!

Audrey has always had one little request: she wants to be the one and only queen of her castle. Unfortunately, finding a home without other dogs isn’t always easy, and it meant watching so many other dogs find their families while Audrey continued to wait. But sometimes, the wait is worth every single day.

Because Audrey didn’t just find a home. She found HER people. And when we say they’re obsessed with her, we mean OBSESSED. They absolutely adore her, and we know she’s going to spend the rest of her life being loved, spoiled, and treated like the queen she’s always known she is.

To Audrey’s foster, thank you for never giving up on her. For giving her the time, love, and confidence she needed to become herself. You didn’t just save her life. You helped her find the life she deserved.

Almost 365 days later, Audrey is finally home. And we couldn’t be happier for her.

Happy tails, sweet girl. Your wait is finally over. ❤️ the wait was SO worth it.
