It’s raining, stay home and send $5 to Oreo’s zeffy!
Oreo thin update! Five dollar Friday for him!!!
Sadly, not the greatest update but definitely not the worst. The specialist ran a bunch of tests yesterday. The number one focus right now is managing his diabetes. Juvenile diabetes can be insulin resistant and is hard to get to a reasonable point.
He has several other concerns but all *might* and hopefully are related to the diabetes. So number one is to get this under control.
His insulin level was increased on Wednesday and will be increased again next week. Some of the tests that were ran will take approximately two weeks to get back so we are still waiting. In the meantime, his glucose levels will be heavily monitored and hopefully can be adjusted to the proper amounts 😩
Also really hoping everything else he has going on gets better with the diabetes being managed. We did ask about IMHA as many have mentioned it and he does not have that. His scary white gums are attributed to his dehydration 💔 he hates water 😭 but we’re working on it!!! He is too sick to test for cushings at this time.
Financially, we paid over $2,900 yesterday. Both of his hospitalizations have been able to be fundraised for and we are counting on you all to cover the specialist as well. Otherwise we have to go on a strict intake pause again 💔 we’ve updated his zeffy to reflect this.
Over the next 2-3 weeks he will need a substantial number of visits and tests done to continue monitoring his other issues— primarily his liver and pancreas not being normal. Right now the zeffy has been updated only to reflect the additional visit and tests from yesterday. We will update it as each visit comes and goes.
Zeffy is the best way to donate for Oreo as it’s easily trackable for us and also they take no fee or percentage.

We are emotionally exhausted for our best bud, Oreo and can only imagine how he feels 💔 please whatever powers you believe in, ask for relief and management for our guy. He deserves a better quality of life and is such a sweet boy.
Again, we are so grateful for all that are cheering him on, donating and his amazing foster family.
