Cria Cuteness continues with last Fall 2021 batch of babies❤️❤️

In previous years at Chelsea Farms the last weekend in September is National Alpaca Farm Days. Last year there were 1,500 visitors. This year we have had to cancel our farm day activities due to COVID-19 concerns. With so many visitors it would be difficult to meet the state’s Covid requirements, please stay safe out there and we’ll see you 2021 Farm Days.

Thank you “Around Covington’s” Lauren for your great visit. Appreciate you featuring the farm.
Have you ever met an alpaca you didn’t like? Well, I had never even met an alpaca until a few weeks back and let me tell you, I loved them all! Chelsea Farms - Alpacas is located where Renton and Maple Valley touch and is currently home to a whole slew of animals – mainly alpacas, with 95 in the current herd. The farm also has chickens, ducks, pigs, and goats but it was the dream of owning alpacas that caused Randy and Beth to move to the property and build their own herd back in 1998. The animal’s purpose is for their fleece, which once shorn can be crafted into just about anything.
There is a store at the farm, open each Saturday and Sunday from 11am-4pm full of items made of alpaca fleece (but emailing in advance - [email protected] - is always a good idea as they may have an event scheduled or be at a bazaar.)
Alpaca Farm Days is here 🎉🦙🎉🦙Come out today or tomorrow 11-4!

Great press from the Oregonian today. Had a great event this year!
Hundreds of alpacas are packing the Clark County Event Center in Ridgefield, Wash., to show off their fleeces and compete at Alpacapalooza 2019.
Alpacas, which are related to camels and llamas, but smaller and more Muppet-like, were originally domesticated in the high altitudes of the Andes in South America. The animals are prized for their coats. Breeders say the fleece is warmer and softer than wool, dries faster after being wet and is hypoallergenic.
The event, organized by the Alpaca Association of Western Washington, is located at 17402 N.E. Delfel Road, Ridgefield, Wash. It ends Sunday, April 7, 2019, at 3 p.m. and is free and open the public. Parking is $6, cash only.
