WOW!! What a pawesome weekend at BLFC (Biggest Little Furry Convention)!!!
The Puppy Summit, which was established in Jan 2016, really worked hard and fought for a safe and fun space for all pups/furries/pets and Handlers, so they can have an opportunity to come together to pup out, socialize and overall have an amazing time with their fellow pup/furry community from all over the world. Also, to overall create resources for others to reach out too.
This year at BLFC, we truly built up from presenting at last year’s BLFC, with an even more successful, fun, and interactive weekend of events.
The Puppy Summit/Pup 202 had a huge turn out! There was 11 representing PAH/Pet groups and over 100+ attendees. It was an amazing opportunity to hear from all the groups and what they have been up to in the community, but also how to contact them for a resource or join in their festivities. Many pups/pets/Handlers also shared their stories and asked great questions around the puppy community. Myself (Pup Kona), Nightcat, Sir Pounder and Pup Turbo were head presenters during the panel and wanted to personally thank everyone who came to it. We truly had a spectacular time sharing and listening together as a community during the discussions.
Following right after the Puppy Summit/Pup 202 event was the 1st ever Puppy Summit MOSH!!! We were happily blown away by all the amazing puppies/pets/Handlers that came to the mosh to pup out and share in the fun, loving energy that the puppy community has to offer. There was music, treats, a plethora of puppy chew toys and mats to mosh on. We all had to laugh because there definitely was one toy that got a lot of the attention, which was the giant size bouncing tennis like ball. You couldn’t keep the puppies away from that thing and the poor handlers had to keep chasing it and bringing the ball back to the mosh floor LOL XD.
As a special surprise and gift, we announced that all the mats and toys that the Puppy Summit bought for the mosh was being donated to the NV-PAH group that was attending the event. Michael Rene Romero (current 2017 Southern Nevada Title Puppy) and Daddy Ray McCuen were presented at our event with the mats and toys :). We really want to strive to help and support our puppy communities and continue to provide and create safe and fun spaces for all to enjoy. We were overjoyed to present the mats and toys to them! We very much look forward to hearing fun stories and seeing pics of their future moshes!
We wanted to give special thanks to our volunteers for taking the time check IDs, help with set up and break down, and manage the mosh floor. So, thank you Pup Jarrad Ryan Cravens, Roscoe Moore, Ryan Baehr and Weasel!
Thank you Andrew Villeneuve for the amazing pictures and being our photographer for both events! All these photos are accredited to him.
Last but certainly not least, super special thanks to BLFC for welcoming us with open arms. They truly did everything they could to accommodate us and give us any help we needed before and during the events. The con chair even housed our mats before the con, so we would have them in time. Tyco, Redz and Roman, thank you, thank you, thank you!!
Again, thanks to everyone that came to the events and showed your support. It truly was an amazingly pawesome and wagtastic event, which are made possibly by the attendees that participate and come to have a fantastic time! :)
